Children can be quite clumsy with technology, especially the younger ones. On iPhone , iPad and other Apple devices this mode is called Guided Access . It lets you limit your child to a single application, and even control what features can be accessed in the app itself. If your kid is a bit younger, it’s easy for them to poke the screen and access ads seen during gameplay, or turn off a video with their favorite cartoon. Not to mention the beloved Home button , seen in some of the older devices, kids absolutely love to click it, so unless you turn it off, no game or cartoon will stay on for long!
First of all – please remember, Guided Access is a lock focused on a single app, so you might need to change some settings for different software, depending on if it’s a game, cartoon or a music player.
How Do I Hide My Own Telephone Number When I Make Calls
You can make sure your phone number won’t be shown to the person you’re calling by changing your phone settings. Find out how to change your caller identity settings
To hide your number for one call, enter 141 before the number you’re calling.
If you’ve hidden your caller identity, enter 1470 before the number to show it for that call.
If you want to hide your number for an international call, enter 00 instead of + before the number you’re calling.
How To Hide Your Phone Number When Calling & Texting
If you wish to hide your phone number when calling & texting, just access Settings from the Home screen. To hide your number when making an outgoing call, access Settings > Phone > Show My Caller ID and toggle the switch to disable it.
Hiding your caller ID when you make a call should provide you some sort of privacy as it will not show your number. That means you can lessen the probability of someone you dont know to get your number without your permission.

Hide Number And Block Caller Id For A Single Call
The FCC allows anyone to block their number from appearing on Caller ID screens. This is easily done by entering *67 before entering a phone number. Note that this method requires that the full number be entered when doing this method. This should work for all carriers but if it doesnt, sometimes dialing in #31# before the number will work with carriers like T-Mobile. Test both numbers out beforehand to see which works.
If successful, all the recipient should see on their end is an indicator saying anonymous or something similar. This method has been successfully done with not only cell phone carriers, but VoIP providers as well. Be wary though when using VoIP calling apps, as all calls may not go through.
Please do not use this method or any other method in this article when calling toll-free numbers, premium-rate numbers, and especially 911 calls. Also, dont use this method to make any threatening calls, as doing this is against the law. This method may allow phone numbers to appear anonymous to the average recipient, but law enforcement can always ask cell phone carriers to get any number if they said anything dangerous or fraudulent.
Changing Your Phone Settings:
Most users can also block their numbers themselves by changing a few settings on their mobile phones. But this facility is not available with all the service providers. The number will remain blocked till the settings are changed. Follow these steps to change your smartphone’s settings to block your number on iPhone:
Step 1: Go to the Settings app and tap ‘Phone’. You will see ‘Show my Caller ID’ in the menu that opens.
