Filter Messages From Unknown Senders
With iMessage, you can filter messages from unknown senders, and you wont get notifications from them.
Go to Settings > Messages, scroll down to Message Filtering, then turn on Filter Unknown Senders.
When this setting is on, you can only see messages from people who arent in your contacts when you go to Filters > Unknown Senders.
Note: You cant open any links in a message from an unknown sender until you add the sender to your contacts or reply to the message.
How To Unblock A Number On Your iPhone

Sometimes you get spam messages on your phone. Sometimes people are annoying. Sometimes you just need to block people. The good news is doing that on your iPhone is easy.
There is a small quirk to blocking numbers on an iPhone: The number you want to block must be stored in your Contacts, as theres no way to block a specific number otherwise. We recommend creating a contact called Spam and adding all spammy numbers to that contact card so you dont clutter up your contact list.
Once youve added that number to your contacts, though, there are two ways to block it.

If you decide to allow the person you have blocked to send you messages, you can always unblock them on your iPhone.

You will then see a list of telephone numbers and people you have blocked from sending your text messages. Step 2: Scroll down to choose “Blocked“. Then you will see a list of the numbers you add to the block list.
Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom and then click “Add New“.

Block Text Messages From Unknown Numbers On iPhone
Apples Messages app filters the unknown numbers on iPhone. However, youll need to enable the option from system settings to help fast track that and put Messages app in action. Here are the steps:
Step 1: Open Settings app on iPhone.

Step 3: Select Unknown & Spam under the Message Filtering menu.

Once this feature is turned on, you won’t be able to open the links you’ve received from people who aren’t on your contact list. The option to open the links will be possible once you add them to the contact list or reply to the message.
Hide Alerts For Spam Text Messages On iPhone
One other trick that I use to reduce irrelevant text messages annoyance is to hide their alerts. For example, my carrier sends me two texts once I consume 50% of my daily cellular data.
Similarly, my neighborhood Dominos, Pizza Hut, and grocery store send promotional messages regularly. 95% of these messages are irrelevant. But a few are useful.
To hide alerts for certain chats, open the Messages app and swipe right to left on a contact name or number. Next, tap Hide Alerts . Now you wont get any notification if this number texts you.

Benefits Of Blocking Texts As An Individual
