Is Samsung Better Than iPhone

iPhone Has Superior Processors:

10 Reasons Why Apple is better than Samsung 2021

Both Apple and Samsung design their mobile chip. For Apple, its the mobile A-series chips, and for Samsung, Exynos chips. However, there are core differences between the design and performance of these processors.

Samsung uses multiple types of processors in the same Galaxy phone line. It could be Qualcomms Snapdragon or Samsungs Exynos, depending on regional location. For example, the Galaxy S22 uses Exynos 2200 processor for Europe and Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon for the North American region.

Numerous tests from renowned news outlets prove that Samsungs Exynos processor is inferior to Apples A-series chip in performance and power consumption.

Therefore, Samsung intentionally sells some inferior flagship phones based on region. In contrast, Apple sells the same type of iPhone throughout the world. Irrespective of the geographic location, you will get Apples same superior hardware and software.

Best Stylus Support Pop In/out In The Bottom Of The Phone Especially For Samsung Galaxy Note Series

Samsung Galaxy Note series and Z Fold 3 comes with stylus support being detachable in the phone symbolizing a much professional use for this kind of smartphone. Especially when you need to take notes immediately, presenting and performing sketches, accurate drawing stylus and more. You definitely will not be able to find this on an iPhone, which is common to see, as Samsung frankly dominates in this aspect especially for phones with stylus lineup.

Samsung Vs iPhone Camera:

iPhones have traditionally received more favorable reviews than their Samsung counterparts in terms of overall camera quality, image consistency, and video quality, among other categories.

Samsung, on the other hand, has greatly improved its game with its latest S21 series, and in particular with the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Despite the fact that Apples consistency remains its most distinguishing feature, the photographic experience in Samsung smartphones is significantly more complex, fun, and customizable than in Apple devices

Samsung phones are the best choice for those who enjoy tinkering with their cameras and trying out new photography capabilities.

Those who prefer a more neutral image and video profile and do not want aggressive image processing algorithms to automatically modify their images and videos will find that iPhones perform admirably.

This makes them particularly well suited for professionals who edit their own images and movies and who place a high value on natural colors as well as a more dependable camera experience.

The New Apple iPhone 14 And Samsung Galaxy S22 Range

The Apple iPhone 14 is the brand’s standard flagship phone in its latest range, released in September 2022. It has a 6.1in OLED display with a high 2,532 x 1,170 resolution. It has the same dual-camera set up as its predecessor, but it comes with new features including a larger sensor to improve the quality of pictures that you take in dark lighting.

However, it doesn’t have a telephoto lens or the new Dynamic Island notch on the screen unlike the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, which do. The iPhone 14 Plus is released on 7 October 2022 – we’ll have results from our lab tests soon, so look out for our forthcoming independent review.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Vs iPhone 1: Which Should You Buy

6 Reasons the Samsung Galaxy S5 is Better Than Your iPhone (review ...

Samsung just launched its 2022 flagships, the Samsung Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra. With Apple already having the iPhone 13-series out for sale, theres a pretty big reason to cross-shop these two device families against each other. Both are seen as the best phones for their respective platforms, both come with extensive ecosystems and both will have a large selection of cases and third-party accessories.

From this slate of devices, well be comparing the basic iPhone 13 and the Samsung Galaxy S22 to see which of these two you should buy. Theyre the basic models of each line, and more similar than they are different.

Apple Vs Samsung: Product Integration

Apple: 9 | Samsung: 7

Part of Apple’s magic is how easily all of its products work together without the user having to do much, if anything, to make it work. Samsung has a line of products from fridges to dryers to phones and smartwatches. But there always seems to be one thing or another that doesn’t work right. Again, I think this goes back to relying on Google for Android and Chrome OS and Microsoft for Windows. They don’t control the total experience.

Samsung tends to take its cues from Apple when it comes to how well integrated its products should be with each other. But Apple’s stuff just plain works, if we are talking about AirPods, Watch, HomePod, AppleTV, iPhone, iPad, and Mac all as one cohesive product ecosystem. I would say that Samsung’s wearables story with Gear is currently better than Google is with WearOS, let alone Fitbit.

However, I am still ranking Samsung lower than Apple it gets a 7, and Apple gets a 9. Despite Google’s lackluster wearable ecosystem, it makes up for things in other areas such as Chromecast and Home/Nest, so I am giving it an 8.

Apple iPhone: Never Worry About Storage With 1tb Storage

For iPhone, the choice is mainly between 64GB, 128GB, 512GB, or 1TB. From the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro , 128GB is the default. This is enough for the average user. Do you want to store more photos and videos locally or do you like to download a lot of games? Choose 128GB or 256GB. Do you never want to worry about storage space and clearing out your phone? Choose 512GB or 1TB storage. So far, 1TB is only available for the iPhone 13 Pro . You can’t expand the store of an iPhone, but you can use iCloud for extra storage space.

Battery And Performance: iPhone

Battery is a key category when comparing any two phones. If your phone needs to be charged throughout the day, that can be a problem at worst and a hassle at best. Luckily, both Apple and Samsung phones have great battery life. Most users will be happy with either one.

However, if youre looking for the max battery performance you can get, the iPhone has the edge. In battery tests, the iPhone 13 has outlived both the Samsung S22 Ultra and its predecessor the S21 .

Apple seems to have their processors incredibly well optimized, as well. The iPhone 13 may not have the fastest display or the most RAM, but it runs so efficiently that it outpaces Samsungs phones in most situations. However, both the iPhone and S22 have wireless charging and Samsungs phones can usually charge from 0 to 100% faster than iPhones.

Our Final Thoughts On iPhone Vs Samsung

Why Samsung is Better Than iPhone?

The two companies have the most comprehensive and integrated ecosystems, but the goal here is not to simply compare one company or product line to another and declare one superior to the other.

It is to present the alternatives from each side and assist those who may still be undecided in making an informed choice between a Samsung smartphone and an Apple iPhone.

iPhone Or Samsung: Resale Value

When choosing a new smartphone, it’s important to bear in mind when you’re going to part with it one day. The average user keeps his or her smartphone for 2 to 3 years before reselling it to finance the purchase of its replacement.

According to a study commissioned and published last January by Bankmycell, Android smartphones shed an average of more than 33% of their value in 2020, compared to about 16% for iPhones. This decline accounts for over 50% of its price for a mid-range/entry-level smartphone.

Android smartphones drop in price much faster than iPhones. Indeed, iPhones retain their value better over time than Samsung’s Galaxy range. You will be able to resell an iPhone for a far better price than a Galaxy smartphone. However, this is not a bad thing in itself.

To buy the latest Samsung flagship, you usually only have to wait a few months to see its price drop, while to replace your iPhone with the latest model, you have to wait much longer for its price to drop.

Also, by this year, things could get even more complicated despite the release of the iPhone 14, Apple has not lowered the price of the iPhone 13. The latter is therefore less likely to drop as much in price as its predecessors in the coming months at both e-tailers like Amazon or second-hand market sellers.

Advantages of Samsung compared to Apple:

Product Integration Between Samsung Vs Apple

Part of Apples charm is how readily all of its devices work together without requiring the user to do much, if anything, to get it to work.

Samsung manufactures everything from refrigerators to dryers to phones to smartwatches.

But there always seems to be something that doesnt operate properly.

Again, I believe this is due to reliance on Google for Android and Chrome OS, as well as Microsoft for Windows.

They dont have complete control over the situation.

When it comes to how well its products should be integrated with one another, Samsung likes to draw its inspirations from Apple.

However, if we consider AirPods, Watch, HomePod, AppleTV, iPhone, iPad, and Mac as a single coherent product ecosystem, Apples stuff just simply works.

I believe Samsungs wearables story, with Gear, is currently stronger than Googles, much alone Fitbits.

However, I continue to rate Samsung lower than Apple it receives a 7, while Apple receives a 9.

Despite Googles weak wearable ecosystem, it compensates in other areas such as Chromecast and Home/Nest, thus I give it an 8.

One incentive to buy a phone and be confident in keeping it for two or three years is 5G support.

iPhone 14 Vs Galaxy S2: Specifications

Specifications sheets don’t automatically make a good product, but when it comes down to it, comparing the specifications can help make a choice. Here are how the two devices stack up next to each other.

iPhone 14
iOS 16 Android 12

On paper, the iPhone 14 and Galaxy S22 stack up quite nicely. The two phones are very similar, featuring glass-sandwiched aluminum bodies. The iPhone 14 claims to feature improved camera sensors over the iPhone 13, but the Samsung Galaxy S22 has the beefier camera with a 50MP main camera. It even has a telephoto lens which the iPhone 14 misses. The processor comparison is interesting this year because the iPhone 14 is using last year’s A15 Bionic chipset, although it is the 5-core GPU version that we saw in the iPhone 13 Pro. Regardless, it still has an advantage over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 found in the S22. The two phones seem balanced against each other, but there are things to pay attention to.

Industrial Design And Product Durability

Apple iPhone 6S VS Samsung S7 Edge: Which One Is Better?

Apple: 9 | Samsung: 9

Yes, design is yet again a personal preference. Jason Cipriani doesn’t care for how big Samsung is going with the S21/Note20 line. If you want a smaller phone in Samsung’s lineup, the company removed some features from the larger devices. On the other hand, Apple launched four different iPhone 12 models, all of which have the same basic features, except the larger sensor on the 12 Pro and IBIS-stabilized main camera sensor on the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Nevertheless, both Apple and Samsung have some of the best product designs in the entire industry, so they both get very high marks — both are ranked a 9 in this area. Historically, I would say both of these companies scored relatively low in terms of product durability — that’s why I have housed these things in OtterBoxes for so long. But, in recent years, Apple and Samsung have upgraded their phones to IP67 and IP68 ratings to make them waterproof and much-improved glass tensile strength, so I would say their products are much more durable. However, I’m still using cases until someone proves to me they are indestructible.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max sports a slightly different camera module with three sensors. Both the 12MP primary and ultrawide lenses have slightly larger apertures than the iPhone 13 for better low light performance. The primary lens comes in at f/1.5, and the ultrawide lens clocks in at f/1.8. Theres also a 12MP telephoto lens with an f/2.8 aperture. The stack has a 6x optical zoom range, sensor-shift stabilization on all three lenses, and a LiDAR scanner for night mode portraits, faster autofocus in low light, and AR applications.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Theres a triple rear camera stack on the Samsung Galaxy S21. The primary telephoto lens is 64MP with an f/1.8 aperture, and it has dual phase detection autofocus , hybrid optic 3X zoom, and optical image stabilization . Theres also a 12MP wide-angle lens with an f/1.8 aperture, dual pixel AF, and OIS. A 12MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture rounds out the trio. The front-facing camera clocks in at 10MP with an f/2.2 aperture and dual pixel AF.

How We Rate Smartphones

Each and every mobile phone that passes through our test labs is subjected to the same set of tough lab tests. This enables us to compare them side by side and tell you which are worth the money. You can use our test results to avoid slow phones that take rubbish photos, and spend your money on a good-quality model that won’t constantly need recharging instead.

We examine everything, including processor speed, screen and camera quality, battery life and call quality.

Our tests are unique. For example, when testing how quick each phone is, we don’t just use the industry-standard speed tests, we also rate what it’s like in everyday use. Our testers assess whether the phone is sluggish when swiping through menus and how quickly it opens webpages. All these factors enable us to generate our star ratings and give every phone a score.

iPhone 14 Vs Samsung Galaxy S2: Cameras

The iPhone 14 sees some key camera improvements, particularly when it comes to low-light photos. While the new phone still uses a 12MP sensor for its main camera only the iPhone 14 Pro models get a beefed-up 48MP shooter the sensor itself is physically larger with 1.9 micrometer pixels and a faster f/1.7 aperture.

That means better photos in low light and better action shots than before. A 12MP ultrawide camera captures more of the scene and promises better low-light performance, too.

But the Galaxy S22 offers something the iPhone 14 doesn’t at least not unless you spring for a more expensive Pro version. There’s a 10MP telephoto lens on the back of the Galaxy S22, joining the 50MP main camera and 12MP ultrawide shooter.

As a result, the S22 can pull off a 3x optical zoom, while the iPhone 14 is limited to a 5x digital zoom.

You can see the benefit of a zoom lens when my colleague Mark Spoonauer took these shots of the Chrysler Building using the iPhone 14’s 5x maximum zoom. The iPhone 14’s colors are much true-to-life, and it captures a lot more detail. But that’s at the expense of the sky in the background, which is a much deeper shade of blue in the S22 shot. If we were to keep zooming in with the S22’s telephoto lens, we’d capture even more detail than the iPhone 14 is capable of.
