Why iPhone 14 Pros Dont Have Extra Ram
Apple has equipped the iPhone models that feature multiple cameras out the back with extra RAM to process the images faster. Has Apple found a way to process data from multiple cameras using just faster RAM? Assuming the TrendForce report is correct, then thats definitely something to consider. Another possibility for the same amount of RAM across all iPhone 14 models: The global chip shortage.
Apples buying power allows it to prepay billions in multi-year deals but even that doesnt make the company immune to the global chip shortage. As a matter of fact, there probably simply isnt enough RAM chips available to fulfill the current demand. The chip situation is already hurting Apple as the company is said to equip only the iPhone 14 Pros with its new A16 Bionic processor. The non-Pro models would apparently run the same A15 chip as the current iPhone 13 models.
Conventional wisdom teaches us that the iPhone 14 Pros could use extra RAM for photography. Kuo predicted that the iPhone 14 Pros would swap Apples main 12-megapixel camera out the back for a brand new 48-megapixel sensor while bringing the ability to shoot video in 8K resolution. Quadrupling pixel count for images and video is definitely going to strain the RAM. So either Apple has found a way to combine fast RAM with ultra-fast storage to process those 48-megapixel images without increasing the amount of RAM or both TrendForce and Kuo are wrong.

Open Your Chosen iPhone Live Streaming App
Depending on the iPhone streaming app youve chosen, youll need to enter either the Stream URL and Stream Name or only the Stream URL. Some apps will also require the username and password that we mentioned in the previous step.
Lets use Larix Broadcaster as an example.
Go straight to the Connections section so that you can manually configure your stream based on the Dacast live channel you will stream at:
Either clicking on New connections or Manage connections will work. Upon clicking you will be redirected to the stream settings part, this is called Outgoing connections:

Please note that the Stream URL for HTML5 streaming will be different for everyone and you need to put it manually. To do this, follow these steps:
STEP 1: Copy your unique Stream URL from Dacast
STEP 2: Open the Connection tab on the Larix Broadcaster App
STEP 3: Paste the Stream URL from Dacast as prompted
STEP 4: Copy your unique Stream Name from Dacast
STEP 5: Add it after the Stream URL
STEP 6: Fill in the Username and Password fields with the credentials from the Encoder Setup page on Dacast
STEP 7: Choose Limelight Networks as your target type.
STEP 8: Click Save to finalize the connection
Secure A Stable Internet Connection
Connection speed is important when you stream live from the iPhone. A wired internet connection is not an option so youll have to use either mobile data or WiFi.
Unfortunately, your mobile data on 4G or LTE is generally not sufficient for this use, since you need to have a strong and constant internet connection to deliver high-quality streams.
Youll want to connect to a wireless internet network and be as close as possible to the router. If WiFi isnt available in the area, then you may want to use a hotspot.
In the live streaming industry, it is commonly accepted that you should maintain a connection speed of at least 750 KBPS at the absolute minimum. Professionals recommend a minimum of 2 MBPS for high-quality streaming. It is also generally recommended that your upload speed is twice as fast as the bitrate at which you want to stream. According to Taiwanese research firm TrendForce, all models in the iPhone 14 family launching later this year will be equipped with the same amount of RAM: Six gigabytes. The difference between them will come down to RAM speed, apparently, with Pro-branded iPhone 14 models using much faster LPDDR5 versus the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max models which should utilize the slower LPDDR4X RAM. TrendForce was right about these things in the past, but the research firm doesnt explain why the iPhone 14 Pros wont have extra RAM. Also, as MacRumors points out, TrendForce suggests that the iPhone 14 Pros might start with 256GB of storage vs. the iPhone 13 models which start out at 128GB of storage.
Only two Pro models would upgrade to the A16 processor, while the 14 & 14 Max will remain the A15. All four new models will likely come with 6GB RAM, with the difference being LPDDR 5 vs. LPDDR 4X .
