For example, if you cancel a recently renewed subscription you purchased through an app on your iPhone, it just cancels the next renewal payment. This means that if youve just signed up for a year, youll stay subscribed for the next 12 months.
However, there are exceptions that have more consumer friendly policies. Office 365 gives you the option to cancel your subscription immediately and receive a prorated refund for any remaining time left if you cancel within 30-days of purchase.

If youve purchased software directly from the Microsoft Store then you may be eligible for a refund, however note that most apps, games, movies, TV shows and books are non-refundable.
To request a refund:
- Uninstall the software in question from all of your devices.
- Head over to the Microsoft website and sign into your Order history.
- Find the item in question, and then select Request a return. If you dont see a Request a return link, then this item isnt eligible for a refund.
If your request is accepted, then you should receive your refund in around 5 business days, via the same method you used to make the purchase.

If youre on a Mac or PC and have iTunes installed, you can apply for an App Store or iTunes refund via Apples music player.

Get Refunds For Ea Origin Games
Origins Great Game Guarantee applies to all digital games published by EA, plus a few third party games.
If youre not happy with an Origin purchase, then youre entitled to a full refund if you meet any of the following criteria:
- If youve launched the game, then you can request a refund during the first 24 hours from the time when you first launched the game.
- If you havent launched the game, then you can request a refund within seven days of purchase.
- If you pre-ordered the game but havent launched it yet, then you can request a refund within seven days of the games release.
- If you purchase a game within 30 days of its release and cant play it due to technical problems, such as server issues or bugs, then you can request a refund within 72 hours from the time when you first launched the game.
The Great Game Guarantee only applies to digital copies of full games, so you cant get a refund on physical, boxed copies of a game, or on downloadable content .
To request a refund:
- Head over to the Request a refund page.
- Sign into your Origin account.
- This screen displays all the games that are eligible for a refund. Find the game that you want to return, and then click Next.
- Open the dropdown and select the option that most accurately describes why youre returning this item.
You should receive a response from EA within 48 hours and, if approved, you should receive your refund within 10 days, via the payment method you used to purchase the game.
How To Cancel App Subscription On iPhone
There are two methods of unsubscribing on iPhone.
In this part, we focus on how to cancel app subscription on iPhone XS/XR/X/8/8 Plus/7/7 Plus/6/6s/5 with the Settings app.

Ios 15 Allows You To Request Refunds For In
One small but useful new feature introduced in iOS 15 is the ability for customers to request refunds for in-app purchases directly within an app, rather than having to use the Report a Problem page on Apple’s website.
Apple has introduced a new StoreKit API that allows developers to implement a “Request a Refund” option within their apps. Users can tap on this option, select a specific in-app purchase, identify the issue that prompted the refund request, and tap the Request Refund button. Once the request is submitted, customers will receive an email from Apple with an update on the status of their refund within 48 hours.
When requesting a refund within an app, customers still have the option to visit the Report a Problem page on Apple’s website to check the status of claims.

When you buy something through Apple, there are a few rules for getting a refund. Certain types of content, including apps, Apple Books, movies and TV, and music, may be eligible for a refund. Even some subscription services can be refunded as well.
