According to sources on Apples supply chain leaking to Digitimes, the iPhone SE 3 will arrive in the first half of 2022, reducing the time between SE models from four years to two.
Obviously, that still leaves a pretty wide six-month window, but we can probably narrow that down by examining the release dates of the previous two models. The original iPhone SE arrived on March 31 2016, while the second generation came out on April 24 2020.;

The Next Chapter In iPhone History
If history tells us anything, then the next chapter of iPhone history should begin in the fall of 2021. However, we wont really know for sure what this will mean until it happens.
- Will Apple simply come out with an updated version of its latest device?
- Will they break the mold and come out with something truly groundbreaking?
- Will they finally find a way to prevent people from working out how to unlock their iPhone?
- Will they once again remove the iOS exploits used to jailbreak their iPhones?
- Is the 4 lens camera just hype or is it the real deal?
Only time will tell, but the one thing we know for sure is that the history of the iPhone is far from over.

While there aren’t two cameras, the iPhone SE does support Portrait Mode, Portrait Lighting, and Depth Control using the image signal processor and the Neural Engine for computational photography. The iPhone SE is the first iPhone that uses a purely software solution to enable Portrait Mode.

The rear camera on the SE has the same specs as the iPhone 8, but when combined with the A13 chip and iOS 13 it transforms the camera into something that can compete with the best phone cameras, and even go toe-to-toe with the main rear camera on the iPhone 11. It has a slew of features, including Smart HDR for photos, Quick Take filming and Portrait Mode — these are impressive features and a first for a $399 iPhone.

When I compare photos taken with each phone, it’s hard to distinguish between them unless you bring them onto a larger screen and even then the differences are subtle.
In good light, photos from each are similar in terms of image quality. Look at the pictures below of a tree I took in my backyard. Can you tell the difference? You see my point. The most obvious difference is that the iPhone SE photo is framed tighter than the iPhone 11.

Although some of the initial shock and awe had worn off, people still lined up for the new device, and first weekend sales continued to be through the roof. However, this type of thinking is typical of those who arent working on the inside. We look at these devices and consider them magic, whereas the engineers developing them see them as works in progress. Then, when the new phone comes out, were once again wowed at their ability to make a product many already considered great even better.
One thing Apple did with this iPhone that had nothing to do with the device itself was release two versions at the same time. The only other time this had been done in iPhone history was with the release of the iPhone 5C and 5S, but these were interim models. The release of the iPhone 6 was the first time it was done with a completely new model.

Ive been reading around, and there are no strong, consistent arguments to support the decision to end support for iPhone SE.
Heres what we have:
- MacRumors;speculates these moves could reflect Apple completely turning its back on 4-inch devices but observes that even then the 4-inch iPod touch remains a supported device.
- Others claim the company may want to abandon components used in these older devices, Qualcomm modems, perhaps?
- Im wondering if the plans relate in any way to Apples plans to improve NFC support in iOS 13 which would be a good argument, were it not that the SE uses the same NFC chip as the iPhone 6S, which is allegedly supported by iOS 13.
Speculation aside, no clear reason seems to have emerged with which to account for the decision, which suggests the original claim may be flawed or incomplete.

It’s Apple’s attempt at providing an affordable iPhone option, with more cut-down specs than the other phones launched in 2020 but with a much lower price. Those specs include a 4.7-inch display, an Apple A13 processor and a single 12-megapixel rear camera. Storage starts at 64GB, it supports Qi wireless charging and there’s no 5G.;

Just about a year after the release of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, Apple once again unleashed a new set of its signature device. At first glance, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus dont appear to be all that different from the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, but there was one major change to the appearance. Apple got rid of the headphone jack. As for other upgrades, the iPhone 7 received the usual gambit of improvements, such as an improved processor and better battery life. Screen sizes stayed basically the same, as did screen resolution and pixel density. In addition to screen size, the 7 Plus featured two rear cameras to help deliver even better quality images.
