But the iPhone 13 has extra perks that photo enthusiasts will appreciate, especially when it comes to video. There’s the aforementioned Cinematic mode, as well as the improvements that the iPhone 12 gained last year such as Night mode time lapse for videos and Dolby Vision HDR video recording. Create A Fresh Backup
If you’re planning on restoring your new iPhone 12 from an iCloud backup, it’s extremely important that you have a backup, not just from the beginning of the day, but from right before you make the switch. This ensures that the transition from your old iPhone to your new iPhone is seamless.

The A13 processor inside is faster than anything in any mobile device that isn’t the iPhone 12 series. If youre sporting an iPhone from 2016 or earlier, its time to upgrade. Youve managed to get several years out of your iPhone and its likely showing its age. Things are slowing down and your photos are probably just barely worthy of an Instagram post.

Buying iPhones On The Installment Plan
The most common kind of phone-company contract these days relates to how you buy the phone. This is the contract that determines whether your iPhone upgrade eligible. Because customers now pay full retail price for their phones, and because not everyone wants to plunk down $1,000 for a phone, all the phone companiesplus Applesell the iPhone in monthly installments.
Instead of spending $1,000 upfront for an iPhone, you can spread the cost out over 24 monthly payments that are charged with your regular bill.
With this system, you can upgrade to a new iPhone when you’ve paid off the old one or at a point defined by the company selling the phone. For example, many monthly purchase plans let you upgrade to a new phone once a year, even if the old phone isn’t paid off. You simply trade in the old phone and keep paying for the new one.
How To Update An Old iPhone Wirelessly
Back up your iPhone. Make sure your iPhone is connected to WiFi and then go to Settings > Apple ID > iCloud or Settings > iCloud. Make sure iCloud Backup is turned on and select “Back Up Now.” You’ll receive a confirmation when the backup is complete.
