Cracked Screens And Waterproofing
We put both the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro through a test where we dropped them from different heights. After dropping them from 3-feet, 6-feet and 8-feet off the ground both phones survived without a single crack to their screens or glass backs. The only blemish was a small scuff to the iPhone 11’s aluminum band and a few damaged pixels on the bottom of the 11 Pro’s screen.
As far as water resistance, both of these phones are rated IP68. Apple claims the iPhone 11 can withstand being submerged at a depth of 6.5 feet up to 30 minutes and the 11 Pro can survive at a maximum depth of 13 feet up to 30 minutes. However, in our water tests with an underwater drone, the 11 and 11 Pro both survived being submerged for 30 minutes at 39 feet .

Resolution And Pixels Per Inch
Unless you understand resolution and pixels, the chart is going to just seem like a bunch of numbers. In order to fully understand what the chart is saying, you need to understand how pixels and resolution affect the quality of an image.
When it comes to resolution in a photograph, we talk about pixels.
Specifically, how many pixels per inch are in the photograph. Pixels are the tiny dots of information and color that make up the photograph.
The more pixels per inch you have in your photograph, the higher the resolution the photograph will be. When talking about resolution, we are referencing how focus sharp the image is.
So how do pixels and resolution affect the quality of your photo?
The higher the pixels you have means the higher the resolution of a photograph you have right?
Well, the higher the resolution your photo is, the larger the photo can be printed. When you have a higher resolution, your photo can be printed larger without the image looking soft and pixelated. When it comes to printing photos, the higher pixels per inch you have, the better.
iPhone 11 Vs iPhone 11 Pros: Cameras
This probably stands out as the big differentiator between the iPhone 11 models. The iPhone 11 features two rear cameras a 12-megapixel wide angle lens with an f/1.8 aperture and a 12-MP ultra wide lens with an f/2.4 aperture. That ultra wide lens delivers a 120-degree field of view so that you can capture more of your surroundings in images when you zoom out.
Those two cameras return on the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, but they’re joined by a third 12-MP lens. This telephoto lens features an f/2.0 aperture, letting in 40% more light than the telephoto lens Apple included on the iPhone XS. You get a 2x optical zoom from the telephoto lens.
Despite the extra lens on the Pro models, the three phones support many of the same camera features. Whether you have an iPhone 11 or one of the Pro models, a Night Mode feature should mean better pictures in low light. All three new phones offer QuickTake, a new camera function where you can capture video while also shooting still images just by long-pressing on the shutter. Even the Deep Fusion feature, which combines nine different shots for a more detailed image, works on the iPhone 11 just as it does on the iPhone 11 Pro.
All three phones also sport the same 12-MP front camera and offer the ability to take slow-motion videos a feature that Apple dubbed “slofies” to the rest of the world’s apparent amusement. Those front cameras can also shoot 4K video at 60 fps, too.

Set The Focus Point For Perfectly Sharp Images
In most cases, the iPhones autofocus does a great job of capturing sharply-focused images.
But sometimes, you might want more control over which part of the scene is in focus.
For example, in the photo below, I wanted the camera to focus on the flower on the left.
So how do you set the focus point manually in the iPhone 11 Camera app?
You simply tap the screen where you want to set focus.
A yellow box indicates the focus point.
Now, just tap the shutter button to take your picture.
If you want to take several photos with the focus set at the same point, you can lock the focus.
To lock focus, tap and hold the screen where you want to set focus. When you see AE/AF Lock at the top of the screen, release your finger.
With focus locked, you can take as many photos as you want without the focus point changing.
To;deactivate AE/AF Lock, tap anywhere on the screen.
Setting the focus point gives you more control over which parts of your image appear clear and sharp.
Its a simple iPhone camera trick that will really improve your iPhone photography!
iPhone 11 Vs iPhone X: Other Factors
The iPhone X weighs a bit less than the iPhone 11. Its not a huge difference, 174 grams to 194, but for some people it may make a difference. The phones both run IOS 13, so there arent going to be any serious differences when it comes to software. The iPhone 11 has a slightly better battery life and is a bit bigger in size.

Select A Photo Or Video Shooting Mode In The iPhone Camera App
The iPhone 11 Camera app has six shooting modes for different types of photography and videography:
Time-Lapse, Slo-Mo, Video, , Portrait, and Pano.
Select a shooting mode by swiping left or right across the screen.
The selected shooting mode will appear in yellow.
But what exactly does each shooting mode do?
mode captures an ordinary still image.
Youll learn how to use Portrait mode later in this article.
Pano mode lets you capture super-wide panoramic photos. Its great for capturing more of the scene in wide landscapes and cityscapes.
In Pano mode, press the shutter button, then move your iPhone across the scene in the direction of the arrow. When youre done, press the shutter button to complete the shot.
Video mode lets you shoot high-quality video footage.
To start recording video, tap the red Record button. Tap it again to stop recording.
Slo-Mo mode captures mesmerizing slow-motion videos.
Its perfect for fast-moving subjects, such as someone running or jumping. And its amazing for capturing water splashes.
Tap the red;Record button to start recording a So-Mo. Then tap it again to stop recording.
Time-Lapse mode does the opposite of Slo-Mo. It creates a sped-up time-lapse video.
Again, tap the red;Record button to start recording your time-lapse. Tap it again to stop.
Time-lapse is fantastic for speeding up slow-moving scenes, such as clouds, a sunset, or burning candles.
iPhone 11 Design Is Little More Than An Afterthought
Whether you love it or hate it, Apple’s iPhone X design is inarguably iconic. Notch aside, the phone is slender and elegant, and that steel frame only elevates the design further.

The iPhone 11 is anything but. It’s a nice phone, but it feels bloated and clumsy, and the chunky bezels only accentuate this effect. And I’m not a fan of the new colour options either. The Lavender variant I received for review just looks like gaudy nail polish.
To top it off, the rear camera bump also looks ugly and out of place on the 11. The 11 Pro has three cameras, making better use of the square bump. The 11 only has two and seems off kilter because of it. I’d have preferred the more refined, iPhone X-like dual-camera bump.
This is a phone that looks out of place in Apple’s sophisticated lineup of devices.

The iPhone 11 Is Easily The Best Choice For Most People But If You Care About Display Or Design Skip It

The iPhone 11 is easily the best choice for most people, but if you care about display or design, skip it.
Unlike in the Android world where one is thoroughly spoilt for choice, buying an iPhone is fairly simple and comes down more to what you can afford than what you really want.
If you’re on a budget, pick up the 11 or the XR. If you can afford it, take the 11 Pro. If you like the size and can afford it, get the 11 Pro Max. It’s that simple.
While the Indian price tags are high enough to make anyone squeamish, whatever your choice, you can rest assured that you’re at least picking up:

These phones aren’t without issues, though, and despite being the best phones that Apple sells, they’re not necessarily the best phones for you.

Water And Dust Resistance
The iPhone 11 has an IP68 water resistance rating, which is up from IP67 in the previous-generation iPhone XR. It’s rated to survive a depth of up to two meters for up to 30 minutes. Two meters is double the depth rating of the iPhone XR, but half that of the iPhone 11 Pro.
The iPhone 11 Pro has is able to stand up to submersion in water up to four meters deep for up to 30 minutes.
With an IP68 water resistance rating, the iPhone 11 can withstand splashes, rain, and brief accidental water exposure, but intentional water exposure should be avoided. Apple warns that water and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and deteriorate as a result of normal wear.
Apple’s warranty does not cover liquid damage to iOS devices so it’s best to use caution when exposing the iPhone 11 to liquids.

Selfies Are Finally Tolerable
iPhone selfies have always been a bit ho-hum; not bad but not great. The new 12 MP selfie camera finally pushes them somewhere between the ‘surprisingly decent’ and ‘woah’ categories.
The selfie camera sees quite the update, but it’s still not as good as the ones on its Android counterparts.
Selfies are sharper and more detailed than before, and the enhanced dynamic range is certainly welcome, but even in good lighting, they lack sharpness and detail when compared to selfies from cheaper Android phones.
iPhone 11 Vs iPhone 11 Pros: Battery Life
The iPhone XR and XS releases introduced us to an upside-down world where Apple’s least expensive model, the iPhone XR, also had the longest-lasting battery. Apple says the XR was the longest lasting iPhone it ever built, and the company wasn’t kidding it turned in a time of 11 hours, 26 minutes on our battery test, which was nearly an hour better than the iPhone XS Max’s result.
Order was restored to the universe with the iPhone 11 lineup. The iPhone 11 Pro Max takes the long-lasting iPhone crown by lasting an average of 11 hours and 54 minutes while continuously surfing the web over LTE. The iPhone 11 also turned in a good result of 11:16, though that’s a few minutes behind the XR’s result. Both those iPhones landed on our list of the best phone battery life we’ve seen on devices tested in the last 18 months.
The iPhone 11 Pro improved upon the below-average result of the iPhone XS, though at 10:24, its result was still roughly an hour behind the regular iPhone 11.
The iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max charge faster out of the box. Those models ship with an 18-watt charger. On the iPhone 11 Max, we got the battery up to 55% after 30 minutes of charging good, though the Note 10 Plus and OnePlus 7 charge faster. The iPhone 11 supports faster charging, too, though you’ll have to buy your own 18W adapter.

iPhone 11 Display Is Great But Only If You Don’t Know Any Better
The iPhone 11 is one of the most expensive phones you can buy today. At Rs 64,999 for the 64 GB model , this phone is competing with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S10 , Huawei’s P30 Pro, and even the OnePlus 7T Pro.
All of these phones come with fantastic OLED displays.

Yes, the 11’s LCD is probably the best LCD display you can find, and yes, unless you’ve used an OLED, you won’t really have complaints.
But, the fact remains that Apple is not bundling a flagship display with a;flagship product.
Coming from an iPhone X, the iPhone 11’s LCD just appears slightly washed out and desaturated, especially when watching videos in the dark. The display is simply not as vibrant as that on any competing smartphone.

For my short-sighted self, the display is even more irritating because I tend to hold the phone closer to my face and I can clearly see individual pixels when I do.
But it’s not all bad. A friend who was upgrading from an iPhone 6s recently bought the XR and was blown away by the quality of the display.
Essentially, if you care about display quality, the iPhone 11 Pro is the way to go. If you don’t, the iPhone 11 is just fine. In fact, the XR is also just fine.

In this kind of light, photos can lack detail and look dull or grainy. But Deep Fusion uses clever camera software to capture more texture and detail with less noise .
Deep Fusion works by capturing multiple images when you press the shutter. The best parts of these images are automatically blended to produce a single photo with better texture and detail.
Deep Fusion photos will have more detail in textured areas, such as hair, fabric, leaves, trees, etc.
So, how do you shoot a Deep Fusion photo?
Well, you cant actually control the Deep Fusion feature. In fact, you wont even know when Deep Fusion is being used!
