Now were getting somewhere. The iPhone 4 was the first iPhone to have a front-facing camera. Little did Apple know, selfies would take over the world. The iPhone 4 also got a Retina display. With 512 MB memory, it was equipped to handle a lot more than even the iPhone 3GS, which only had 256 MB of memory. You can see the technology was beginning to look a little more familiar, but 32 GB was still the maximum amount of storage the iPhone could hold.

On Jan. 9, 2007 at the MacWorld Expo, Steve Job unveiled the first iPhone.
Fifteen years ago today, Steve Jobs in perhaps his most iconic Apple keynote introduced the original iPhone: “An iPod, a phone and internet communicator. An iPod, a phone, are you getting it?”
It was Jan. 9, 2007. Night at the Museum was No. 1 in theaters. Nokia was the big name in phones. President Gerald Ford had been buried days earlier. And in a wildcard playoff game, the Indianapolis Colts had just defeated the Kansas City Chiefs before going on to win the Super Bowl.
“iPhone is a revolutionary and magical product that is literally five years ahead of any other mobile phone,” Jobs said during his keynote speech.
The iPhone wasn’t actually magical. There were even behind-the-scenes efforts required to keep the iPhone from crashing while Jobs demonstrated it during the keynote. But 15 years later, it would be hard to argue that the iPhone wasn’t revolutionary. Whether you are a loyal iPhone owner or have never owned one, the impact the iPhone has made in our daily lives is indisputable.

The Day Google Had To ‘start Over’ On Android
Google was building a secret mobile product to fend off chief rival Microsoft. Then Apple announced the iPhone, and everything changed.
The cell phone industry in 2005 was the perfect example of a hairy Google-size problem. The software industry for mobile phones was one of the most dysfunctional in all technology. There wasnt enough wireless bandwidth for users to surf the Internet on a phone without frustration. Phones werent powerful enough to run anything but rudimentary software. But the biggest problem, as Jobs had learned, was that the industry was ruled by an oligopoly: Few companies besides the carriers and the phone makers were writing software for phones, and what existed was terrible. Wireless bandwidth would improve and phone chips would get more powerful but back then it looked as if the carriers and phone makers would control it all.
We had done a deal with Vodafone to try to get Google search on their phones, said one top Google executive who would not give his name. But the search they offered us was that we could put some results on, but that they would control most of them, and that our results would be at the bottom of every query. They didnt have a good mobile browser. Ring-tones sometimes got prioritized in search results. All the carriers were doing this. They thought they could provide all the services inside a walled garden , and that this control was the best way to make money.
Excessive Smoothing In Selfies
Customers have also reported seeing unrealistic smoothness on their skin when taking a selfie by an automatic filter. Observers have noted that this face-smoothing effect is likely caused by the new Smart HDR camera feature on the XS and XS Max. This technology combines multiple photos of varying exposures to increase dynamic range on the iPhones’ photos, but can also lead to less pronounced facial imperfections and decreased highlights in selfies. Some speculated this was the result of a hidden “beauty mode” and dubbed the issue “Beautygate”. There was a general dispute in the community as to whether the camera actually “intended” to “perfect” faces or if they just appeared that way as result of a better quality camera.
Apple said that these results were due to the Smart HDR algorithm incorrectly selecting the blurrier long exposure as its base frame instead of the sharpest short exposure. The issue was resolved with the release of iOS 12.1 on October 30, 2018.

The Rise And Fall Of The Ipod
The iPod was released in 2001 and quickly became not only a consumer favorite but also one of Apples major revenue streams.
But even as iPod sales were climbing rapidly, Apples executive team knew its days were limited. Customers were carrying around both an iPod and a mobile phone and were convinced that the mobile phones would eventually have the ability to play music, something that would make iPods obsolete.
To keep the company profitable and maintain its position as a market leader in tech innovation, Apple executives knew they needed to come up with the next generation of mobile phones before their competitors did.
iPhone Xr: October 26 2018
The iPhone XR was also announced at the September 2018 event, but wasn’t available right away. Because it was the cheaper of the new models, quite a few people decided to wait for the XR to be available. These iPhones were smaller than the XS and XS Max . The display was not as crisp as the XS and XS Max, but with the Liquid Retina HD display, the difference wasn’t too noticeable. This model also had the front-facing camera and came in way more colors than the XS or XS Max.

Ios : The iPad Arrives
iOS meets the big screen
As it had done for every other major iOS device, Apple released an update to iOS to go along with the iPad. iOS 3.2’s main purpose was to add the customizations to iOS necessary to match the iPad new screen resolution, including a landscape Home screen, new pop-up dialogs, and more.
New UI paradigms for a larger screen. In order to bring iOS to the iPad, Apple didn’t just “blow up” the iPhone UI, but rather added a few changes designed specifically for the larger screen. The most significant was the addition to a left-hand sidebar list. Typically, an app would have a list of content you could drill down into, then go back to the list. Apple removed that step by displaying the list on the left and the content on the right, no “back” button required for most apps. Apple also made it so that you could still see your content in a full-screen simply by turning the iPad into portrait-mode. The list was then hidden not behind a back button, but instead became a pop-over list. Apple added pop-over dialogs throughout the OS where previously the iPhone would require users to switch screens.
This version and two subesquent iOS 3.2 updates were iPad only, temporarily adding just a little fragmentation to a platform that to date had had virtually none.

iPhone 5s Features And Functionality
The most exciting new feature to come with the iPhone 5S was the introduction of biometrics. This allowed users to scan their fingerprint into the phone and unlock the device doing nothing more than touching their finger to the home button.
Another interesting feature of the iPhone 5S was the ability to record videos in slo-mo. This move was likely in response to the fact that phones had become much more than phones. They were now cameras and so much more, and Apple responded by improving the functions the phones camera could perform.
The iPhone 5S also came with Touch 3D, which allowed users to navigate the touchscreen with more than one finger, an addition that allowed people to be able to zoom in on photos or map much more easily.

iPhone 3g Features And Functionality
Although the iPhone 3G ushered in a new era in the history of the iPhone, it was actually not a tremendous upgrade from the original version of the device. It addressed many of the issues mentioned above, but many other things stayed the same.
The most important change was that the iPhone 3G, as the name suggests, was equipped with 3G capability, which meant users could browse the web and download content much faster than they could with the original iPhone.
Another major change with the iPhone 3G was the introduction of the App Store, iOS 2, and developer software that made it possible for third-parties to create their own apps. iPhones Have Changed Little Things Too Like Gum Sales

What Features Will The iPhone 13 Include
