AirDrop lets you quickly transfer files wirelessly between iPhones, iPads, and Macs. When you share a document, the recipient will see the name of the sending device. If youd like to change your AirDrop name, it only takes a few steps. Heres how to do it.
Before we begin, its important to know that your devices AirDrop name is the same as the general device name that you might see while backing up your iPhone or iPad or in a list of devices in your iCloud account. By default, this name will be your first name and the model name, such as Benjs iPhone 8 or Lindas iPad Pro. To change the name, well need to visit Settings.
First, open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
In Settings, navigate to General > About.
In the About menu, youll see the current AirDrop near the top of the screen. Tap Name to enter a new name.
On the Name screen, tap the text entry area and type in the new name for your device, then tap Done. This name will also be the devices AirDrop name.

Change Zoom Name Before Joining A Meeting
Without clicking on the Zoom meeting link, open the Zoom app, and click on the Join button.
The Join Meeting box will open. You will get two boxes. First one is to fill the meeting ID and second one to enter the display name. Enter your name in the second box. You will need to enter the Meeting ID manually.
Pro Tip: If this method fails, log out of the Zoom app, and then click on the Join button.
How To Change Your Email Display Name On iPhone Or iPad
Step 1: On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings> Passwords & Accounts.
Step 2: Select the email account you want to edit.
Step 3: Tap on the email address listed at the top of the Account tab.
Step 4: Delete the current name and replace it with the new one.
Step 5: Tap Done to complete the change.
Note: Some types of email accounts such as Outlook or Exchange may require you to use their app or website to make the change.

Two Workarounds To Change The File Name Of A Photo Directly On The iPhone
The photos taken with a smartphone have an IMG_xxx prefix by default while those captured with a DSLR or digital camera have a DSC_ prefix, followed by a serial number. As you might have noticed, the Photos app on iOS has no option to change the name of photos taken with the iPhone camera. iOS users can rename photo albums and change the cover photo on their device though.
While its not common to rename photos on iPhone, some users may find the need to do so. Change Zoom Name During A Meeting
If you want to change your name once you have joined a meeting, you dont need to disconnect the call to change your name. Just click on the Participants icon on the meeting screen.
A sidebar will open. Hover your mouse over your name and click on More. Then choose Rename. Enter a new name.

Using Metapho A Free App
Metapho is a great app to rename photos on iPhone without affecting the original file.
I suggest using Methopho as it ad-free, boasts a clean UI and integrates well with the Photos app. With Metapho, you will be able to change the photo name from within Photos on your iPhone or iPad. Metapho also makes it easy to check photo details such as the file size and resolution of a photo. The only prerequisite is that the app requires iOS 13 or later.
To proceed, install Metapho from the App Store. Then follow the steps below.
Now go back to All Photos section in the Photos app. The image you renamed is re-exported and saved as a new file alongside it.
To check the name change yourself, open the photo and tap Metapho.
Similarly, you can rename videos, selfies, portraits, screenshots and screen recordings on your iPhone.
Tip: Use this method as the Gmail app sometimes doesnt show the option to add media from the Files app.
Fix: Cannot Change Zoom Name
If you cannot change your display name on Zoom using the above methods, you should change it directly from the Zoom website. For that, open Zoom account settings from us04web.zoom.us/profile. Log in with your Zoom account. Click on Profile from the left sidebar. Then, click on Edit next to your name and add a new name.
Try logging out of your account and then signing in again to fix the issue. Lastly, the host might have disabled participants’ capability to rename themselves, as we showed above. Check our Zoom account privacy tips that you should use.

Change Zoom Name For All Meetings
To change your name for all the meetings, follow these steps:
Step 1: Launch the Zoom app on your computer.
Step 2: Click on the profile picture icon at the top. Select My profile from the menu. A web page will open, and it will take you to the Zoom account settings. Log in with your Zoom account details.
Tip: If you dont see My profile go to Settings > Profile > Edit profile.
Step 3: Under the Personal section from the left sidebar in Zoom account settings, go to Profile. Click on the Edit button next to your name and enter a new name. Save changes using the Save button.
Note: The name will be changed for the current meeting only using the following two methods.

Limitations Of A Name Change In Emails
There is one big limitation to the changes you might have made to your display name in your Mail app. If you send an email to someone who has previously saved you as a contact on their device, then your emails will still show under whatever name they attached to your contact card.
For example, if my wife changes her display name from Tina to Josephine, her emails will still show as coming from Tina on my device, because that is the name I use for her in my contacts. Makes sense, right?
This limitation doesnt happen if you are sending an email to someone who has not saved your contact info before though.
