Why Cant I Delete Apps On My iPhone And iPad
- Non-removable apps You can delete almost all third-party apps and several inbuilt Apple apps. However, you cant remove core system apps like Phone, Messages, Settings, Photos, Camera, Safari, App Store, Clock, Find My, Health, and Wallet.If you really want to get rid of one of these, you can hide them from view.
- Screen time restrictions Have your parents put a Screen Time lock to apps, or have you done it to yourself mistakenly?
- Mobile Device Management restrictions If the iPhone is given by your employer, school, or other such organization, it might have a particular profile that may be preventing the uninstallation of certain apps. Contact the relevant admin for assistance.If this is the scenario, you cant delete the apps unless you have administrator rights. So, hide and make peace with it.

Delete Apps In Your App Library
There are multiple ways to do this.
Your first option is to swipe the last page of your Home screen until you see your App Library. Next, use the search bar at the top of your App Library to search for the app by scrolling through the list of icons. Long-press on the app icon until you see a pop-up menu, and then select Delete App. The key to seeing the menu is the long touch. Be careful not to accidentally drag the app to your home screen instead.
The other option is to find the app in its categorical folder, long-press on it, then select Delete App from the popup. You can then continue deleting apps with a tap on the “X” after triggering jiggle mode. Tap Done or leave the folder when you’re finished.
Delete iPhone Apps From Icloud
Anything on your iPhone is on iCloud including the apps and its data. Although the downloaded app from App Store dont get stored in iCloud but its traces like documents, data, and backup may be present.
So to remove apps completely, delete its traces from iCloud as well.
- Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage.
- Click on iCloud Backup.
- Click on your iOS device name. A list of apps appear. Select Show All Apps.

Delete Apps From The App Library
With the introduction of the App Library in iOS 14, Apple gave users a way to access apps without cluttering up their Home Screens. So if you dont have the app icon on your screen, you can delete it from the App Library.
Swipe right beyond your last screen until you arrive at the App Library. If you see the app in one of the category folders, tap and hold it. Otherwise, you may need to expand the category folder. You can do this by tapping the smaller cluster in the corner.

This method is available for people who want to remove an app but retain its data. If this is what you want, follow these steps to do it.
Step 1. Open the Settings app > Tab “General” > Choose “iPhone Storage.”
Step 2. Then, all the application software will be listed on the sc with the storage space they are using.
Step 3. Choose the app you don’t want and tap it.
Step 4. Press “Offload Apps” to uninstall apps without deleting their data.
