How Do I Start Sending Group Text Using My Android Phone

To send a group text using your Android phone, all you have to do is follow these steps:

  • Launch your local Messaging app that comes pre-installed on your device. This app is not the Facebook Messenger app or WhatsApp or any messaging app that uses an internet connection to send messages.
  • Create a new message.
  • On contacts selection, tap on the Contact Icon.
  • Select the individual contacts that you wish to send a message.
  • Once done, start typing your message and send it to them.
  • Isnt that easy? All thats left to do now is dive into the system of group messaging and other related stuff. Since this method alone is not a group messaging of some sort, this method is directly sending an SMS to a group of people.

Any replies to your message will only be sent to you and not to the group that you or your friend created.

From our experience, some Android users have had a bit of a hard time figuring this feature out. Especially those who are new to Android coming from an Apple iPhone device user.

MY SOLUTION: In my case, it turns out that MMS messaging setting had been turned off. This did not come at a new upgrade or any other change to the software or hardware of the phone. It’s a mystery to me why it suddenly changed. ;But in any case, I went into the settings of messaging and turned on MMS messaging, which then revealed a secondary menu for group messaging, which I also turned on. ;At first this allowed me to receive the messages, but not in groups (they were sent in a group, but I received them one-on-one separately form each sender. ;However, after a reboot of the phone, it seems to be working correctly now. ;Hope this helps someone else!

I would say to contact Apple as they are the only ones that do anything with the software of the phone. ;Most likely it has to do something with the software or a setting on the phone itself.

    Greetings !
