How Does The Camera In The iPhone 6 Vs iPhone 6s Compare

Apple iPhone 6 Plus Review: After Many Months

The iPhone 6s was the first time Apple improved the camera specs since the iPhone 4s launched in 2011.

Where the iPhone 6 has an 8Mp rear-facing camera, the iPhone 6s has a 12Mp rear-facing camera.

Video recording improved from 1080p in the iPhone 6 to 4K video recording on the iPhone 6s. The iPhone 6s Plus also gained optical image stabilisation for video.

The front-facing camera also got some improvements. It can capture 5Mp photos rather than 1.2Mp, and the display became a front-facing flash to make selfies even better.

Some of the tech behind the camera was improved and the iPhone 6s gained some camera related software features. For example, Live Photos arrived with the 6s. With Live Photos turned on your phone takes short videos clips rather than still photos. You can get some fun effects and its a good way to get photos of kids who are moving all the time anyway. Later versions of the iOS software made it possible to create GIFs from Live Photos. Live Photos can be fun so they are probably a good reason to get the 6s over the 6.

How Long Does It Take To Reset An iPhone

After an extensive research that was conducted with the help of 1000 iPhone users, the time cost of different reset methods mentioned above has been tested. The results are thorough and they clearly show which method is relatively faster.

Method
Settings App 193s

According to results, iMyFone Umate Pro is the fastest reset method. Hard Reset method is placed second on the ranking as it is faster than other methods but slower than Umate Pro. The third fastest method is Erase All Content and Settings. iTunes is on the fourth position and iCloud is on the fifth position as it is the slowest way to reset an iPhone.

Tip : Hard Reset The Dead iPhone:

If you still cannot fix the problem that the iPhone is dead and won’t charge, performing a hard reset somehow will help.

iPhone 6 And 6 Plus Battery Life: How Long They Last

ByMike Prospero22 September 2014

We compare the battery life on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to the Samsung Galaxy S5, the LG G3, the HTC One M8 and the OnePlus One.

We saw how the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus compared to the Samsung Galaxy S5 in terms of performance, but how well do Apple’s new smartphones stack up to the competition when it comes to battery life? We ran our battery test over the weekend to find out.

One of the chief issues that many had with the iPhone 5s was its comparatively short battery life. Indeed, on our test, it lasted just 5 hours and 46 minutes. According to Apple, the iPhone 6 should provide up to 10 hours of Internet use on LTE, and up to 11 hours of video playback. The iPhone 6 Plus promises up to 12 hours of LTE browsing, and up to 14 hours of video playback.

We used our standard battery test on the iPhones as well as the Android devices. For both platforms, we created an app that opens the native Web browser on the phone, and then visits 50 popular web sites in a loop, pausing for 60 seconds on each until the battery is drained. Before running the test, we set the display brightness to 150 nits, ensure that the battery is fully charged, and turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, notifications, and GPS. Here’s more detail on our battery test, as well as others we run on smartphones, tablets and laptops.

iPhone 6 Vs iPhone 6 Plus: The Differences Between The New Apple iPhones

Is the iPhone 6 Plus Too Big for Normal Hands?
Tweet This

Apple s much heralded has come and gone and as expected we have two new iPhones: the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. Also as expected they come in two new, much larger sizes: 4.7-inches and 5.5-inches. But their differences are far more than skin deep so lets break them down:

Design Curves And An Aluminium Unibody

The leaks were on the money. Both new iPhones ditch the hard angles and glass backs of their predecessor, the iPhone 5S, in favour of a more rounded, unibody anodized aluminium chassis available in silver, gold or space gray. The Apple logo on the back will be in stainless steel.

One area of concern for some is the confirmation of a protruding camera , but on the whole the new chassis promises a significant step forward in durability. There is also a sensible evolution with Apple moving the power button to the side to make it easier to reach .

Size And Weight – Bigger But Not Monstrous

Once again the leaks were right. I discussed the fact the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 would have virtually identical dimensions to the 5-inch Nexus 5 and that is also true of the weight.

The iPhone 6 measures 5.44 x 2.64 x 0.27 inches and weighs 4.55 ounces a weight increase that is roughly proportional to its 16% volume increase compared to the iPhone 5S.

A Nexus 5? 5.43 x 2.72 x 0.34 inches and 4.55 ounces .

For reference the Galaxy Note 4 comes in at 6.04 x 3.09 x 0.33-inches and 6.21oz .

iPhone 7 And iPhone 7 Plus

Average battery life: About 10 to 12 hours for both phones.

2016âs iPhone 7 came without a headphone jack, in order to make room for better cameras and a bigger battery, according to The Verge. Indeed, the batteries for both models were impressive: the iPhone 7 had an 1960 mAh battery, while the 7 Plus had a 2900 mAh battery. According to Apple, the greater size was meant to increase the 7âs charge time by two hours from the 6s.

In tests, The Verge found the iPhone 7 lasting about 10 hours, and the 7 Plus lasting 12 hours, when in medium usage. Tech Radarâs testing found the iPhone 7 barely making it through a day, and overall lasting just seven minutes more than the 6s. The siteâs review of the iPhone 7 Plus was more positive, though, with the phone apparently lasting a full day of heavy usage.

Here’s How Long Your iPhone Will Really Last

A recent Asymco analysis determined the average lifespan for Apple devices including iPhones, iPads, and Macs.

Building a slide deck, pitch, or presentation? Here are the big takeaways:

  • The average lifespan of an Apple device is four years and three months. — Asymco, 2018
  • Two out of every three devices ever sold by Apple are still in use. — Asymco, 2018

How long can you expect your Apple iPhone, iPad, or Mac to live? If a recent analysis from Asymco is to be believed, the average lifespan of all Apple products on the market between 2013 and today is four years and three months.

Asymco mobile analyst Horace Dediu created a formula for device lifespan based on the number of devices sold versus the number of active devices in use.

iPhone 5 And iPhone 5s

Average battery life: Around 5 to 11 hours for both phones.

Released in 2012, the iPhone 5 featured a 1440 mAh battery, and Apple claimed a single charge on this device could last up to 225 hours if the phone wasnât in heavy use. But Engadget reported the iPhone 5 lasting just a little over 11 hours during its tests, while AnandTechâs tests showed closer to an average of just five hours per charge, with the phone losing 10% to 15% of its charge each hour. Many users experienced similar results or malfunctioning batteries, and to this day, some people still lament the iPhone 5âs short battery life.

The iPhone 5s has a bigger battery at 1560 mAh, but it still showed only slight improvements compared to the 5. Tech Radar did not find a single charge lasting the 10 hours Apple claimed the phone would when in regular use.

iPhone 6 Plus: Call Quality

iPhones have good call quality and the iPhone 6 Plus is no different. It comes with a noise cancelling microphone that manages to moderate external noise enough for you to hear the person on the other line, even in noisy conditions.

The iPhone 6 Plus suffers from some poor quality sound in locations where your connection to the network is poor. This isnt a problem limited to the iPhone 6 Plus by any stretch but Apple has included VoLTE , which should help matters once networks start using it.

Some Samsung phones also carry this feature but youll have to check with your network provider to find out when theyll be enabling it in your area.

Performance Management Turned Off

If you disable the applied performance management feature, you’ll see this message:

If the device experiences another unexpected shutdown, the performance management features will be re-applied. The option to disable will also be available.

iPhone 6 Vs iPhone 6 Plus: Camera: Image Stabilization

Based on their specs, the cameras on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus appear to be identical. The back cameras both take 8-megapixel images and 1080p HD video. Both offer the same slo-mo features. The user-facing cameras capture video at 720p HD and photos at 1.2 megapixels.

However, there’s an important element of the cameras that makes a big difference in photo quality: image stabilization.

Image stabilization reduces motion in the camerathe movement of your hand as you take the photo, for example. It improves focus and delivers higher-quality images.

There are two kinds of image stabilization: hardware and software. In software image stabilization, a program automatically tweaks photos to improve their look. Both phones have this.

Hardware image stabilization uses the phone’s gyroscope and M8 motion co-processor to cancel out movement. It’s even better. The iPhone 6 Plus has hardware stabilization, but the regular iPhone 6 doesn’t. So, if taking the best possible photos is important to you, choose the 6 Plus.

Still Using iPhone 6s Series Hold On To It

byMay 2, 2020, 8:07 pm11.4k Views

After releasing on September 25th of 2015, both the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus changed the smartphone game in the market. As these two majestic models, with similar features except the display size and the battery capacity, were loved by so many users. After releasing Apple sold 77 million copies of iPhone 6S and another 22 million copies of iPhone 6S. Apple discontinued both these models on September 12 of 2018. From then all are thinking about how long iPhone 6S & 6S Plus will be supported.

Understanding The iPhone 6 Battery And What It Has To Offer

When iPhone 6 was released last 2014, Apple claimed that the device is equipped with a battery that is 25% more longer lasting compared to the iPhone 5s.

The new device will have the A8 processor which is more energy efficient than the A7 processor installed on in it predecessor.

The processor draws 50%less power so it will extend the devices battery life, allowing users to have longer usage and also allowing them to enjoy the device more.

Due to this new processor combined with excellent synergy, state of the art display technology as well as its patented iOS operating system, iPhone 6 is a device that doesnt need a bigger battery for it power.

Performance And Battery Life

The iPhone 6 Plus is very snappy and responsive in daily use. Both the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are equipped with the A8 processor, though curiously the Geekbench benchmark reported it running slightly slower on the 6 Plus — 1.35GHz versus 1.39GHz. Otherwise, benchmark results are very comparable between the two, and consistently 10 to 20 percent faster than the previous-generation iPhone.

The iPhone 6 Plus delivered a solid 13 hours and 16 minutes in our battery rundown test. It backed that up with impressive real-world performance, easily and repeatedly making it through a full day of heavy use — featuring constant Web surfing, gaming, video streaming and GPS navigation — and often lasting well into a second day before needing a charge.

In terms of processing power, the Apple iPhone Plus 6 delivers competent performance. Comparative benchmarks appear below as always, they should be taken with a grain of salt.

When Does Apple Stop Supporting iPhones

How Long To Fully Charge an iPhone 6 Plus?

In terms of software that’s now a bad showing, but if you have a fault with your iPhone – will Apple be able to provide the parts to fix it with.

Apple will support iPhones for seven years from the last time it sold that particular model. So as long as your iPhone was still being sold by Apple up to seven years ago the company will still service it – in other words: help you fix it .

This is where Apple list of obsolete and vintage products comes in.

Apple states on its website here that “Owners of iPhone, iPad, iPod or Mac products may obtain a service and parts from Apple or Apple service providers for five years after the product is no longer sold.”

The following iPhones are considered Obsolete, which means sales were discontinued more than seven years ago and Apple has now discontinued all hardware servicing.

  • iPhone
  • iPhone 4
  • iPhone 4s

And these iPhones are listed as Vintage, which means they not been sold for more than five years . Apple will still service these products.

  • iPhone 4s
  • iPhone 5
  • iPhone 5C

That means that, at least at the time of writing, Apple is still fully supporting the iPhone 5s and all iPhones that followed it, and even the iPhone 4s and iPhone 5 may support if Apple has access to parts. Not bad for phones that launched almost a decade ago.

Apple iPhone 6 Plus Review

Apple is a company with a wide range of technology products. Smartphones are just a few of them, but in some ways the most popular among consumers. In the face of the iPhone 6 plus we see how the design of the devices has evolved and how it has been enriched with modern features. This model is among the atypical for the brand. It does not follow the trend of phablets.

How The iPhone 6s Design Compares To The iPhone 6

At first glance, you might think that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s are the same phone, but actually there are a number of design differences between the two handsets.

First of all the iPhone 6s introduced a new colour option called Rose Gold. Otherwise both handsets are available in Gold, Silver and Space Grey.

The iPhone 6s is also made out of a more durable Series 7000 aluminium. This is presumably to prevent a repeat of the Bendgate debacle that happened when some iPhone 6 Plus owners found that their iPhones had bent after prolonged periods of time spent in their pocket. The problem was probably exaggerated with only a few very vocal customers affected, but its a problem none-the-less and certainly a good reason to consider the 6s Plus over the 6 Plus.

Aside from that, the design and build of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s is essentially the same. There is a tiny increase in height, width, depth and weight for the 6s, but you’re unlikely to notice.

The dimensions are as follows:

4.7in

5.5in
