From The Assembly Line To Your Pocket
Apple works with carriers like FedEx and UPS to ship its iPhones all around the world. For the U.S-bound devices, the flights depart directly from Zhengzhou, China, stopping by in Alaska for refuelling and then the planes make their final stop usually to Louisville, Kentucky.
From there on, they are put in the charge of other logistics professionals, who reroute them to different destinations throughout the U.S.

Unlocking Face Id iPhones With Apple Watch
The iOS 14.5 and watchOS 7.4 updates introduced an “Unlock with Apple Watch” feature that’s designed to allow an iPhone with Face ID to use an unlocked and authenticated Apple Watch as a secondary authentication measure when a mask is worn.
Face ID is not able to work when a person is wearing a mask, so the Apple Watch authentication method prevents iPhone users from having to constantly enter a passcode when wearing a mask. It’s similar to the Apple Watch unlocking feature on the Mac and can be enabled in the Settings app under Face ID & Passcode.
An unlocked Apple Watch paired with Face ID can unlock the iPhone when a mask is worn, but it’s only for mask usage. The Apple Watch cannot be used to authenticate Apple Pay or App Store purchases, nor can it be used to unlock apps that require a Face ID scan. In these situations, the mask needs to be removed or a passcode/password needs to be used instead.
When the Apple Watch unlocks the iPhone, there’s a haptic tap on the wrist and with the iPhone sending a notification to the watch, much like how it works when using the watch to unlock a Mac. Unlock with Apple Watch is limited to those running iOS 14.5 and watchOS 7.4 or later.

Where Do iPhone Components Come From
Apple CEO Tim Cook has never shied away from making it clear that the iPhones components are mostly produced in the United States. He has stated numerous times that people often associate the place where the device was assembled with the country of origin of all components. The company uses specialized manufacturers for individual parts: camera specialists are in charge of the lens while screen specialists focus on the display, and the list goes on for most components. In an MSNBC interview from 2018, Cook stated thatWe are building things in the United States and its not true that the iPhone isnt built in the United States There are components of the iPhone built in the United States. The glass is from Kentucky. Many chips, silicon chips, are made from all over the United States.Cook also stated in another interview that there is still confusion about China: The popular conception is that companies come to China because of low labor cost. Im not sure what part of China they go to, but the truth is China stopped being the low-labor-cost country many years ago. And that is not the reason to come to China from a supply point of view. The reason is because of the skill, and the quantity of skill in one location and the type of skill it is.However, while China might offer the skill quantity Apple is after, the iPhone hosts too many components to mention , all of them manufactured in a different country.
iPhone Se Release Date March 31 2016
Just six months after the release of the iPhone 6S, Apple decided to release yet another iPhone. However, this phone was not designed so much as a groundbreaking device but rather as a response to the market.
After selling 30 million 4-inch iPhones in 2015, Apple decided to introduce an upgraded version of the iPhone 5 largely because it has learned that some people just prefer smaller, more compact phones. The phone was upgraded as compared to the original iPhone 5, and it was designated SE, which means Special Edition. Here are the specs of the iPhone SE:
- 4-inch screen
- 24 hours talk time on 3G
- 12 hours of web browsing time on 3G
- 13 hours of web browsing time on LTE
- 13 hours of battery life on WiFi
- 13 hours of battery life for videos
- 50 hours of battery life for just music
Essentially, the iPhone SE took many of the hardware upgrades that came from the iPhone 6 and 6S and put them into a phone that looked more like the iPhone 5, giving those who prefer smaller phones the best of both worlds.

iPhone 4 Controversy: Antenna
As sales of the iPhone 4 continued to climb, consumers started to notice an annoying glitch when they held their phone in a particular way, they lost reception. The existence of this issue was repeatedly denied by Apple execs.
As public awareness and frustration with this issue continued to grow, Apple finally acknowledged it as a real problem.
Their solution was not well received Just avoid holding it in that way.
The considerable backlash to this obviously inadequate solution prompted Apple to eventually offer free cases to all iPhone 4 users.
iPhone 6 Controversy : Bendgate
Within weeks of the launch of the iPhone 6 and the U2 drama, another issue became apparent: the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus would bend if enough pressure was applied.
Apple denied that Bendgate was the result of any design or manufacturing flaw and that only 9 people had experienced any issues under normal use conditions. Although, they did acknowledge that as per their warranty conditions if the iPhone had been subject to normal use conditions and was faulty, it would be replaced.
Despite their public denials of any design or manufacturing issues, internal Apple documents, unsealed in 2018 by Lucy Koh in the Touch Disease class-action lawsuit, show that Apple was aware that the iPhone 6 was 3.3 times more likely to bend than the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 6 Plus was 7.2 times more likely to bend.
Apple eventually made significant design changes to help prevent this issue with the addition of Series 7000 space-grade aluminum, even though they have never publically acknowledged an issue existed.

Generation 1: iPhone 12 Pro And iPhone 12 Pro Max
Alongside the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini, Apple also introduced the higher-end versions of the device, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The major difference between these two devices is camera technology.
The iPhone 12 Pro comes with a 6.1inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, a 52mm telephoto lens for increased focal length showing faraway objects with accurate perspective and with a level of precise detail not possible with previous models, and a LiDAR scanner that increases depth perception.
The Pro also incorporates Apple ProRaw Capture that gives the user access to more image data so you can get a head start on editing, with noise reduction and multi-frame exposure adjustments already in place and have more time to tweak color and white balance. The iPhone 12 Pros camera also incorporates 4K HDR Dolby Vision offering a cinematic look in video scenes with stronger contrasts for up to 60 fps.
These two devices are great assets to more camera-centric individuals like content creators and photographers who are willing to pay more for better camera features. For the average user, who takes the normal selfie, the base versions of the iPhone 12 should offer adequate camera features if not better than other smartphones in this niche market.

Disable Auto Brightness For Longer Battery Life
Your iPhone’s screen brightness level can have a big impact on battery life. By default, iOS will automatically adjust the display’s brightness based on how much light the ambient sensor detects. But if you want to take complete control, you can disable auto brightness, meaning whatever you set the brightness level at is where it will stay until you adjust it again.
Open Settings> Accessibility> Display & Text Size and at the bottom of the page, you’ll find a switch to turn off Auto-Brightness.
Now, whenever you want to adjust your screen, you can do so by opening Control Center with a swipe up from the bottom of the screen on a device with a home button, or a swipe down from the top-right corner on newer iPhones.
