Battery Life And Charging
One aspect where Apple has not shown great improvement with the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus is the battery life. In terms of performance, the iPhone 8 lasts just about as long as an iPhone 7, while the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 7 Plus are also very similar in terms of battery performance.
The iPhone 8 gives you talk time of up to 14 hours, while the iPhone 8 Plus offers 21 hours. The battery performance is fairly similar when it comes to internet usage 12 hours for the iPhone 8 and 13 hours for the bigger model. The models offer video playback of 13 hours and 14 hours respectively, and audio playback of 40 hours and 60 hours.
The main areas of difference come in terms of charging, where Apple has worked hard to meet the fast charging and wireless charging standards that have been set up by most of the newer Android phones in the market. With the wired fast charging, you can expect your phones to charge up to 50% with just 30 minutes of charging, which is a significant improvement when you compare it to the older models.
The company has also adopted wireless charging in line with the Qi standard with the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus. The glass back of both these phones enables wireless charging when placed against a charging plate, but you must remember that the wireless charger will not be provided to you when you purchase the phone.
Bluetooth Nfc And Gps
Support for the new Bluetooth 5.0 standard is built into the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. Bluetooth 5.0 offers four times the range, two times the speed, and eight times the broadcast message capacity compared to the previous Bluetooth 4.2 standard.
In addition to the Global Positioning System operated by the U.S. government, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus add support for Galileo, Europe’s Global Satellite Navigation System, and QZSS, the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System used in Japan.
Galileo support in the new iPhones allows users to benefit from more precise positioning that’s able to combine GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo signals. Galileo, says the agency, has a modern signal structure that’s able to help users better maintain their position fix when navigating through cities worldwide.
As for NFC, there’s a new NFC chip with reader mode support that lets the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus read NFC tags installed in places like retail stores, museums, and more.
iPhone 8 And 8 Plus Design: Choose Your Size
As counterparts to one another, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus look nearly identical, except for the fact that the iPhone 8 Plus is bigger and has a higher resolution. It has a 5.5-inch, 1080p LCD display while the iPhone 8 has a 4.7-inch, 750p screen.
Despite the obvious size difference though, you still have to consider how the size will affect your everyday interaction with the phone. If you have a smaller grip, for example, the iPhone 8 is more comfortable to hold and fits into pockets easier. If you watch a lot of video and play games, the larger iPhone 8 Plus is more immersive. And even though you might not be able to discern it with the naked eye, given the iPhone 8 Plus’ greater resolution and pixel density, images are a tad sharper .
Other than that though, the devices are similar. They come in three colors , but phones this old means limited inventory, so retailers may stock fewer options. They are both water resistant and have wireless charging. But they also don’t have headphone jacks and — instead of swiping gestures for navigating or Face ID, like in newer phones — they have a physical home button that houses the fingerprint reader.

iPhone 8 Plus Vs iPhone X: Rear Camera
The iPhone 8 Plus still has an edge over the regular iPhone 8 when it comes to camera features. But the iPhone X has the same dual-lens camera on the back as the iPhone 8 Plus, and the same video recording features too.
Apple
On the iPhone X, the two cameras are stacked vertically, while on the iPhone 8 Plus theyre side by side.
The one little difference is that the iPhone X has dual optical image stabilization, meaning it works on both of the rear lenses, while the iPhone 8 Plus has just optical image stabilization, according to Apple.

How Is The iPhone 8 Plus Bigger Than iPhone 11
Its actually pretty simple the iPhone 11 does not have a home button Apple did away with the home button on the iPhone X, adding in FACE ID for unlocking and a notch to house the sensors that power it.
This means all iPhones save for the iPhone SE 2020 released after the iPhone X have larger displays but overall smaller bodies.

The iPhone 8 Plus still uses TouchID and a home button and this technology do take up a fair amount of space at the bottom of the phone .
Removing this button frees up almost an inch of space and allows for smaller phones with thinner designs. And that is why the iPhone 8 Plus, despite having a smaller display than the iPhone 11, is still a bigger phone with respect to height, width, and overall thickness.
iPhone 8 Plus’ Second Telephoto Camera
While both phones have the same 12-megapixel standard camera with the same f1.8 aperture, only the 8 Plus has a second telephoto camera. With this second camera you can take portrait shots with a depth-of-field, bokeh effect that adds a lot of drama. Apple also added five lighting tools that you can apply to portraits, which include studio and stage lighting.
In addition to portraits, the telephoto camera adds some extra zoom. While the iPhone 8 only has digital zoom up to 5x, the telephoto offers a clearer 2x telephoto or optical zoom that does not degrade the photo’s quality. The iPhone 8 Plus’ digital zoom also goes up to 10x.

iPhone 8 Plus Vs iPhone X: Display
The biggest difference between these iPhones is the display. The iPhone 8 Plus sports the same Retina display as it has in prior generations, an LCD that in the Plus size is full HD at 1920×1080.
Jason Snell
The iPhone X features a 5.8-inch Super Retina HD HDR display.
Apple completely changed that with the iPhone X. It has an edge-to-edge OLED display, which gives it a much higher contrast ratio and support for HDR video. Its got a higher resolution and pixel density tooApples even calling it Super Retina.
When comparing these phones side-by-side, the iPhone X is the clear winner by far. The colors are rich and pop, text looks clean and sharp, and the black is so deep that we find it mesmerizing. This is the best screen weve seen on an iPhone.
iPhone 8 Plus: 5.5-inch, 1920×1080 LCD, 401 ppi, 1300:1 contrast ratio iPhone X: 5.8-inch, 2436×1125 OLED, HDR, 458 ppi, 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio

iPhone 8 Plus Vs iPhone X: Battery
If battery life is the most important to you, the iPhone 8 Plus with its physically bigger battery should eke out a little more life during Internet use and video streaming, although Apple estimates about the same battery life for talk time and audio playback. Weve found similar results in our own testing, too.
Both of these iPhones support Qi wireless charging, and Apple wil have its own charging pad next year, although plenty of Qi products exist already.
Apple
Apples own AirPower charging station is coming in 2018.
Both phones also support fast charging if you spring for one of Apples USB-C power adapters and a USB-C to Lightning cable. Its speedy, though: Up to 50 percent charge in just half an hour.
And of course you can always charge up the old-fashioned way too: A standard Lightning cable and USB power brick are still included.

What iPhone Is The Biggest

The biggest iPhone you can buy right now is the iPhone 12 Pro Max it has a 6.7in OLED display, the biggest ever fitted to an iPhone, and it measures in at 160.8 x 78.1 x 7.4 mm, making it the largest iPhone Apple has produced since the launch of the iPhone X.
However, the biggest iPhone overall, by sheer size, is the iPhone 8 Plus. Because it has a home button and large bezels at the top and bottom, it is both wider and taller than the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Apples biggest iPhone is always its Plus model , Max, or Pro Max models on its more modern iPhone releases. For instance, the biggest iPhone in 2019 was the iPhone 11 Pro Max. In 2018, the biggest iPhone was the iPhone XS Max. And in 2020, the biggest iPhone will be the iPhone 12 Pro Max which has a 6.7in OLED display.
This will remain the general rule of thumb going forwards until Apple changes how it brands its iPhone. Interestingly, we could see a return on the plus branding in 2021 with the release of the iPhone SE Plus which will replace the now-discontinued iPhone 8 Plus.
