Keeping Your Notes Organized
Its certainly not necessary to sync your notes across multiple email accounts. In fact, I discourage that because it can get very confusing!;Right now, were trying to find your missing notes thats why were turning them all on.
To stay organized moving forward, its important to know;where;youre saving your notes. If youre using Siri to create your notes, you can set the default account for new notes in Settings -> Notes.
Otherwise, you need to be;aware of which account youre using when you create a new note in the Notes app. Before you create a new note, tap;the yellow back arrow ;in the upper left-hand corner of the screen and choose;a folder. The good news is that the;Notes;app should pick up right where you left off whenever you open it.
My recommendation is to use;as few;accounts as you can to sync notes. After you take an inventory of where your notes are stored, I recommend going back to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and disabling Notes for the accounts that you arent using to sync your notes.
On my iPhone, I use two accounts to sync notes. To be honest, the only reason I use two;accounts is;because I havent taken the time to switch my old Gmail notes over to iCloud yet. Ideally, most people should only use one account to sync their notes.
How To Find Notes On iPhone And iPad
Using Notes on iPhone and iPad, there are a number of ways to find a specific note you’ve worked on in the past and want to revisit. Of course, you can simply launch the Notes app from your home screen and scroll through the list of note headings, but if you’re on the go or in a hurry, the last thing you want is to be staring at a list of titles trying to figure out which note was which. Fortunately, there are a number of ways to quickly find the exact note you’re looking for.
Send A Copy Of A Note
You can send a copy of a note to another person or app. For example, you could send a note to a file service such as Google Drive or Box to store it as a separate text file. To do this, press down on the note and select Send a Copy from the pop-up menu. From the Share menu, select the person or app to which you want to send the copy.

The same with the process from iCloud Backup File method, the program will show the list of file types. At left sidebar, look for the Memos and Orders.
Under this option, click on Notes to just simply show the backup files for this file type.Then, click on Recover, and wait for the process to be done.

How To View iPhone Notes On Pc Via Gmail
Another similar way to access notes from iPhone on a computer is to use Gmail. You can sync your iPhone data to Gmail via settings and then access notes in Gmail from your Windows PC.
To view iPhone notes on PC:
Step 1. Open the Settings app and scroll down to choose “Passwords & Accounts.”
Step 2. Tap “Add Account” > “Google” and enter your account information.
Step 4. Turn on the “Notes” option while setting up your account.
Step 5. On PC, go to Gmail and sign in with the account you use on the iPhone.
Step 6. Click “Notes” from the list and then you will see the items from your iOS device.
Add Tags To iPhone Notes
If you have many notes on your iPhone, keeping them organized will be a big challenge. However, if you follow the practice of adding relevant tags, then it will be easier to find your notes whenever it is needed.
You can add a tag to a new note or an existing note. Lets see how to do that.

Then, tap on the Compose icon located on the bottom right to create a new note.
To add a tag to a note, type a hashtag followed by the tag name and then add a space after the text. Once you add the space, the color of the tag will change to yellow to confirm that the tag has been created. Here, I made a shopping list with the tag #shopping.
You can add tags to any part of the note like in the beginning, end, or anywhere you like. Once you finish creating the note, tap Done on the top right to save the changes.
Now, if you go back to the main screen of the Notes app, you can see the new section Tags. Under that, you can see all the tags you had created.

How To Recover A Deleted Note
After youve deleted a note from your iPhone or iPad, it gets sent to a temporary folder in the Notes app called Recently Deleted. Its not permanently deleted from your device until you physically go into the Recently Deleted folder and delete it for a second time.

Basic Steps You Can Take First
There are a few things you can do immediately at realizing the notes are missing, which will greatly improve the chance of data recovery.
1. Check Recently Deleted Folder
If you are using iOS 11 and above, you will find the Notes app contains a folder called Recently Deleted. This folder allows you to recover deleted notes, but as the word “Recently” denotes, notes are available here for only 30 days. After 30 days, the deleted notes will be permanently removed, and this may take up to 40 days. Add Tags In Apple Notes On iPhone And Mac
In a true Apple style, all the Notes features are available on all the platforms, including iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. In the screenshots below, we are using the Notes app from the iPhone. You can expect the same functionality on iPad and Mac.
Note: The tags function in the Apple Notes app is available on iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and macOS 12.0 Monterey. They are currently in beta. You can either download the relevant OS on your main machine at your risk or wait for Apple to release the stable version this fall.

If You Cant Find The Note You Deleted
If you were unable to find your deleted note in the Recently Deleted folder, then it means one of two things:
- You deleted the note from the Recently Deleted folder already; or
- You deleted the note more than 30 days ago, so iOS already trashed it
Assuming you are recovering a note just shortly after deleting it by accident, and you havent deleted it from the Recently Deleted folder, its easy to recover.
Because this feature is in place, you should avoid deleting anything from the Recently Deleted folder unless youre sure you dont need the note anymore or if the note contains sensitive material that you dont want recovered after you delete it for security reasons.
