Following the launch of Apples iPhone 13 lineup of phones, both the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max disappeared from Apples store. Both the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro are now discontinued, at least if you want to get one via Apple.
The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will still be available from carriers and phone networks, however, so if youre after a bargain in 2021, and you dont want the iPhone 13, your best bet is to pick up and iPhone 12 Pro Max via a carrier.
Because new iPhones are always very popular, carriers and phone networks will be looking to get rid of their iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max inventory quickly, and that ALWAYS means discounts.
Case in point: the iPhone 12 Pro Max is now available via Three with a free Apple TV for £68 a month with a small £99 upfront fee. Once the iPhone 13 lands, you can expect that price to come down in more.
Given what happened to the iPhone 11 Pro Maxs pricing with the release of the iPhone 12 range, Id expect contact prices for the iPhone 12 Pro Max to drop to around £50 a month with no upfront fee.
This will not happen until the iPhone 13 gets a release date though, so if you do fancy picking up Apples 2020 flagship iPhone, it might be worth waiting until the iPhone 13 range goes on sale.

The New iPhone 11 Pro And iPhone 11 Pro Max Come With 18w Usb
We now have another evidence that Apple is slowly moving away from Lightning to USB-C. With the newly announced iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max devices, Apple will be shipping the new 18W USB-C power adapter and USB-C to Lightning cable. This will allow MacBook Pro uses to use their power adapters for charging the new iPhone. They dont have to carry two different power adapters anymore. Apple claims that you can get up to 50% charge in around 30 minutes with this new 18W adapter.
I hope Apple replaces the Lightning port in iPhone to USB-C port in the upcoming iPhones. It would further simplify the charging ecosystem for Apple devices. One sad news is that the new iPhone 11 still comes with the old USB-A power adapter and USB-A to Lightning cable.

What Apple Should Have Done
When Apple eliminated the headphone jack in the iPhone X, it came with a dongle. This dongle allowed you to still use your old headphones. Apple could have done something similar with the iPhone 12.
Apple should’ve included a USB-C female to USB male adapter in every iPhone 12 box. Doing so wouldn’t have required making the box any bigger, but Apple would’ve had to pay a few cents for each adapter.

For 2019, all the iPhones are powered by the A13 Bionic chipset. This processing unit is made of a CPU, GPU and neural engine. Its also important to remember that Apple has the benefit of making both the hardware and the software. Those teams can work together to ensure performance, and it succeeds here.
In comparison to the experience on an iPhone X and or XS Max, the 11 Pro and Pro Max operate much smoother on the new OS13. Apps open faster, you can keep upward of 30 apps open in the background, and shouldnt experience any slowdowns.
Titles from Apple Arcade performed well, and the enhanced sound quality on the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max made for a cinematic mobile experience.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max was announced on September 10, 2019 and it came out on September 20 in the US, UK, Australia and a variety of other markets around the globe.;
Its no longer sold directly by Apple now that the iPhone 12 range is out, but its still fairly easy to get from third-party stores. That said, the price might be a sticking point as it was the most expensive iPhone out there at launch and its still among the priciest now.;
Yes, it rivals the cost of some MacBooks in certain territories, but thats not really a fair comparison these are different products with different specifications, designed to do very different things. However, it does illustrate how expensive the iPhone 11 Pro Max is.
The iPhone 11 Pro Max price starts at $1,099 / £1,149 / AU$1,899 for the 64GB model. Storage capacity then jumps to 256GB, with an asking price of $1,249 / £1,299 ;/ AU$2,149.
It then goes all the way up to $1,449 / £1,499 / AU$2,499 for the most expensive 512GB model so if youre not rich enough to swim regularly in a pool of money, its probably time to get saving.
Having said that, many stores are now selling it for less. For example, at the time of writing we can see the iPhone 11 Pro Max on sale for £1,029 / AU1,699 .

In Mexico, the trademark iFone was registered in 2003 by a communications systems and services company, iFone. Apple tried to gain control over its brand name, but a Mexican court denied the request. The case began in 2009, when the Mexican firm sued Apple. The Supreme Court of Mexico upheld that iFone is the rightful owner and held that Apple iPhone is a trademark violation.
In the Philippines, Solid Group launched the MyPhone brand in 2007. Stylized as “my|phone”, Solid Broadband filed a trademark application of that brand. Apple later filed a trademark case at the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines against Solid Broadband’s MyPhone for “confusingly similar” to the iPhone and that it may likely “deceive” or “cause confusion” among consumers. Apple lost the trademark battle to Solid Group in a 2015 decision made by IPO director Nathaniel Arevalo, who also reportedly said that it was unlikely that consumers would be confused between the “iPhone” and the “MyPhone”. “This is a case of a giant trying to claim more territory than what it is entitled to, to the great prejudice of a local ‘Pinoy Phone’ merchant who has managed to obtain a significant foothold in the mobile phone market through the marketing and sale of innovative products under a very distinctive trademark”, Arevalo later added.
Does Magsafe Work With A Case
Short answer: Yes. But there are caveats.
Those who want to protect their iPhone 12 with a case and make use of MagSafe magnetic charging will need a MagSafe-compatible accessory. Naturally, Apple is selling several MagSafe chargers and a magnetic wallet on Apple.com. Third parties, like Belkin and Otterbox, have their own MagSafe products, too.

Can you still buy the iPhone 11 Pro Max even though Apple has discontinued it? Heres what you need to know
Apples iPhone 11 Pro Max is a fantastic phone. When it launched it was the most potent iPhone ever released. It had incredible battery life, an amazing camera, and a beautiful OLED display and industrial design.
But when the iPhone 12 range landed, Apple decided to kill the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The decision to discontinue the iPhone 11 Pro Max was apparently taken in order to bolster sales of Apples newer 5G iPhones inside the iPhone 12 lineup.
This means officially, at least that the iPhone 11 Pro Max was only really available to buy through Apples official channels for 12 months, making it one of the most short-lived iPhone releases of all time.

At $699, the 6.1-inch iPhone 11 gives you the most bang for your buck, including great dual cameras and the same handy Night mode and fast A13 Bionic chip found on the pricier models.
The $999 iPhone 11 Pro is smaller than the iPhone 11 at 5.8 inches, making it a good choice for those who want to use a phone with one hand. And you get a third camera on the back for telephoto zoom and a richer OLED display, compared with the iPhone 11’s LCD.
The reasons to step up to the $1,099 iPhone 11 Pro Max are its best-in-class battery life and ginormous 6.5-inch display.

iPhone 13 Battery And Charging
The iPhone 12 models did not wow on our battery life test. Only the iPhone 12 Pro Max truly impressed with its large battery. However, another report from Ming-Chi Kuo about so-called soft battery technology in the iPhone 13 claimed that the new iPhones could offer increased battery capacity without growing the design footprint.
This seems to be backed up by a claim from leaker L0vetodream, who has tipped battery capacity increases for all models. The iPhone 13 Pro Max is the big winner here, gaining an 18% increase from 3,687 mAh to 4,352 mAh. The other three models’ increases are all much smaller, but would still go some way to fixing the short battery life issue.
A Trendforce report also reports to bigger battery capacities on the iPhone 13 models, thanks to a new implementation of a;flexible charging and battery circuit board.
A separate FCC filing shows that Apple could debut a revised iPhone 13 MagSafe charger. The charging speed may remain at 15W but one rumor points to possibly stronger magnets.;

If you’re on the fence between the iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 11, don’t bring both phones outside. You’ll notice the huge difference in brightness that I did. In fact, the iPhone 11 Pro Max’s 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display vastly outshined the Galaxy Note 10 Plus, too, when I put both phablets side by side.
When watching the Star Wars Episode 9 Trailer: The Rise of Skywalker on both the iPhone 11 Pro Max and last year’s iPhone XS Max, I could make out more gradations of color in Princess Leia’s hair as she hugged Rey. This is likely thanks to the extended dynamic range offered by the improved panel on the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Our lab results backed up my real-world impressions, as the iPhone 11 Pro Max turned in an average nit reading of 761 nits, compared with 652 nits for the iPhone 11 and 686 for the Galaxy Note 10 Plus.;
The iPhone 11 Pro Max’s panel isn’t the most colorful, registering 118.6% of the sRGB color gamut, compared with 124.6% in the Note 10 Plus’ Natural screen mode. The OnePlus 7 Pro hit 180%. Regarding color accuracy, the iPhone 11 Pro Max’s display registered a Delta-E score of 0.28 . That’s stellar, but not quite as good as the Galaxy Note 10 Plus and OnePlus 7 Pro .
