When Did The New iPhones Come Out
The 2020 iPhone 12 series, which includes the $799 iPhone 12, $699 iPhone 12 Mini, $999 iPhone 12 Pro, and $1,099 iPhone 12 Pro Max, was announced during an Apple event on October 13.
Apple first made the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro available for preorder starting on October 16, later releasing them to buy on October 23.
On November 6, Apple made the iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max available to preorder. Those two models will be rolled out and available to buy starting on November 13.
Apple acknowledged the delayed launch, saying the new iPhones would come “a few weeks later” than usual. The delay came amid supply chain delays due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Bloombergs Mark Gurman has learned that Apple plans to manufacture up to 90 million iPhone 13 units this year. Thats a sharp increase from last year. The report says Apple usually orders 75 million units for the initial run of a new iPhone. That initial production run accounts for sales through the end of the year.
Apples big iPhone 13 production goals indicate the launch event should take place in mid-September, right on schedule.
Apple is planning updates to all of the current models, spanning the 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch regular versions and the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch Pro models. As good as the iPhone SE is, wed like to see a few things improved for its successor.
5G: Now that other phone makers are releasing 5G phones for under $500 and even under $400, it’s time that Apple does the same for its budget handset. Although 5G networks are still be deployed, shoppers deserve future-proof connectivity.
OLED display and higher resolution: The LCD on the iPhone SE is fine, but wed like to see a better OLED display on the iPhone SE 3. This would mean punchier colors and deeper blacks with better contrast. Wed also like to see a bump in resolution. The pixel density on the iPhone SE isnt all that great either at 1334 x 750.
Better battery life: Like we said above, the battery life on the iPhone SE is just alright. It doesnt hit the 10-hour mark average that we like to see in our battery tests, but it can get through a day with light to medium use. For the iPhone SE 3, we hope that Apple uses a bigger battery.
More cameras and Night Mode: The iPhone SE uses a single 12MP wide-angle camera. It produces decent photos, but in some cases Apple falls behind the Pixel 5a. If the iPhone SE 3 adds an extra camera, wed expect it to be an ultrawide sensor. We also really want Night Mode since the SE lacks it.

When Should You Upgrade
The other important question is whether you should wait for the release of a new iPhone model before you upgrade.
If you’re considering upgrading anytime in the first half of a year, we recommend waiting until September when new models are announced and older models get discounted.
Since we can say with some confidence that the new iPhone models will come out every September, it makes sense to wait until at least mid-September if you’re planning to upgrade. After all, why buy a phone that won’t be the latest and greatest in just a couple months if you could get the newest thing by waiting?
Your decision will be driven by whether your current phone can last that long probably not, if it’s broken or malfunctioning, for instance but if you can wait until fall, do so. And then you can enjoy the new iPhone.

An Oled Screen With A Higher Resolution
The iPhone SE has an IPS LCD screen with a 750 x 1334 resolution, neither of which are exactly cutting edge.
Now, there are of course limits to what can be done with a mid-range phone, but when you consider that the similarly priced OnePlus Nord and both manage a higher resolution and OLED technology , its hard to see how Apple could justify omitting these things from the next iPhone SE model.
That said, we wouldnt count on getting either Apple rarely competes with Android phones on pure specs.

Keep It Small And Affordable
The iPhone SE stands out through both its small size and its relatively affordable price, and we want both of those things to remain for the iPhone SE 3.
There arent many compact phones anymore certainly not ones with good specs, and nor are iPhones known for being affordable, so the two things make for a great combination.
iPhone 5s & iPhone 5c: September 20 2013
Between the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c, Apple sold nine million units in the first week of sales. The iPhone 5c was meant to be slightly more affordable and had a plastic shell. iPhone 13 Pro Specs And Features
–As per the previous and current reports, the iPhone 13 models will receive minor design changes while the overall design will remain the same.
–Some reports suggest a smaller display notch that has even been subjected to a few render leaks. Apple has achieved this by placing the earpiece in the top bezel. Front panels of the upcoming iPhone 13 models had leaked a while ago, confirming the same.
–While there’s still a triple camera setup like the iPhone 12 Pro on the rear, the housing module appears to be a tad bit bigger. Through which we can predict that iPhone 13 Pro will feature bigger camera sensors.
–The iPhone 13 Pro is said to feature a 6.1-inch display which is the same as the iPhone 12 Pro. This device measures 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.6 mm, which is slightly thicker to incorporate a bigger battery, we suppose.
–Several reports have popped up to suggest that the upcoming iPhone 13 Pro models will feature LTPO displays with support for a 120Hz high refresh rate. For your information, LTPO is a superior and power-efficient backplane technology that can switch the individual pixel on display on and off. Thus, allowing for better battery life on the Pro models.
–Reports suggest that these LTPO displays are being developed either by Samsung or LG.
–In addition to that, reports have been making rounds around the inclusion of an in-display fingerprint scanner. This will work in unison with the Face-ID to improve authentication on the upcoming iPhones.

When it eventually comes out, the iPhone SE 3 probably won’t be called that, and it’ll likely follow the iPhone SE ‘s naming convention with the year of release in the title. But right now, we don’t even know for sure what year the next affordable iPhone will release.
The iPhone SE was one of the most exciting iPhones of 2020, providing excellent Apple hardware and software in a compact size and at a relatively low price. So how can Apple top that?
