How To Force Dark Mode On All Websites You Visit In Microsoft Edge
Like Google Chrome and other similar browsers, Microsoft Edge has an experimental setting that allows you to force Dark Mode on the websites you visit. To enable it, in the Microsoft Edge address bar, copy and paste the command edge://flags and press Enter on your keyboard. This action opens a long list of experiments that can be enabled.
Accessing experiments in Microsoft Edge
In the Search flags box, enter the words dark mode. The list of experiments should display the entry Force Dark Mode for Web Contents with the value Default, which means turned off.
Search for Dark Mode
Click or tap on the drop-down box, and select Enabled. Then, you should see a notification encouraging you to restart Microsoft Edge at the bottom of the window. Press the Restart button, and Dark Mode is applied to all the web pages you visit.
Force Dark Mode for Web Contents
While browsing in this experimental mode, we noticed that not all sites look great. Ours doesnt, so your experience may not be as you expect. We prefer enabling the simple Dark Mode that only changes the way Microsoft Edge looks and doesnt tinker with the sites you browse.
How To Turn On Whatsapp Dark Mode On iPhone
Prior to iOS 14, to turn on WhatsApp dark mode on iPhone, you could open WhatsApp > Settings > Chat > Theme > Dark.
If your iPhone is running iOS 14 or later however, dark mode is initiated from the phone settings rather than WhatsApp settings. To enable it, follow these steps:
When ‘Dark’ is selected, it will enable dark mode across all the apps on your iPhone. Dark mode can also be enabled from Control Centre.
Another Setting To Watch Out For
Before you declare the problem solved for good, its important for me to point out one more setting that may be causing Grayscale to turn on and off without your knowledge. Head back to Settings -> Accessibility, scroll all the way to the bottom, and tap Accessibility Shortcut.
Accessibility Shortcut is a handy feature that makes it easy to turn Accessibility features on or off by triple-clicking the Home button or the side button . If any of the features you see listed have checkmarks to the right, it means that you can enable that feature by triple-clicking the Home button or side button.
iPhones running an older version of iOS will have a Grayscale option listed here. If Grayscale is checked, tap the checkmark to turn off that Accessibility shortcut. That way, you cant accidentally turn Grayscale on or off as you go throughout your day.

Twitter Dark Mode For iPhone And Android
Twitter for Android and iOS has two dark modes. The first one, called ‘Dim’, has a dark blue background. The second one, appropriately called ‘Lights out’, has a black background and is designed with AMOLED screens in mind. This second one should be more power-efficient and extend your battery life a bit longer.
Whichever you prefer, it’s easy to make the switch.
Lights Out has been available to iOS users for some time, but it was added to the Android app a little bit later. Its been more than a year, however, so it should be readily available for Android users.
Still, if it doesn’t appear in the menu, open your phone’s settings and scroll down to ‘Apps’. Find Twitter in the list, tap it and select ‘Force stop’, then clear the app’s data. Re-launch Twitter and the Lights Out option should now be available.

Windows 10 Dark Mode: How To Turn It On And Off
- tutorialby Ciprian Adrian Rusen published on 07.14.2020
Windows 10 has a Dark Mode. The feature is not new, and it has been improved over time. Today it looks and works better than it did when it was first launched, back in 2016. When enabled, Dark Mode changes the appearance of the Windows 10 interface from white to black. That can be useful in low-light conditions, like when working at night, and it can be equally great for users who prefer black instead of white. Here is how to get Dark Mode in Windows 10, how to turn on Dark Mode, and how to disable it to get back to normal:

How To Change The Background Color Of Notes On iPhone And iPad
In iOS, you can set the system appearance to Dark or Light Mode, which changes the look of every native app on your Apple device, including Notes. If you set your iPhone or iPad to Dark Mode, for example, each note in the Notes app appears by default as white text on a black background.
However, Apple Notes also allows you to switch the background color of individual notes or all of your notes when you’re using Dark Mode. This means you can make notes appear as black text on a white background, regardless of what system appearance mode you’re using. Keep reading to learn how it’s done.

What Is The Dark Mode And How To Get It In Windows 10
Dark Mode was first introduced to Windows 10 in its Anniversary Update from 2016. Since then, it has been gradually improved, and the latest version of Windows 10 – May 2020 Update has the best Dark Mode yet. Therefore, if you don’t have Dark Mode on your Windows 10 computer or device, all you have to do is update Windows 10 to the latest version. One way to do that is by using the Windows 10 Update Assistant.
When you turn on Dark Mode in Windows 10, the operating system and many of its apps change their visuals to dark colors. The most apparent changes are these:
- The plain white background used in apps turns black
- The white background color used on menus turns to black
- The light-gray default scrollbars used in apps become dark-gray
- The default black text displayed in apps turns to white, etc.

A Second Place To Look
After I wrote this article, I received a number of emails from people whose iPhones were still black and white, even after they turned off the Grayscale setting. Special thanks goes to Anita, a commenter who let me know about a second setting that can turn iPhones black and white.
If your iPhone is still black and white, go to Settings -> Accessibility -> Zoom -> Zoom Filter and tap None. To learn more about how Zoom works on your iPhone, check out my article about how to fix iPhones that get stuck zoomed in.

How To Restart Your iPhone
Unlike any other phone, especially Android phones, you would not find an option to simply restart the iPhone. For some unknown reasons, Apple has not added the Restart option on iPhones yet. To reboot or restart your frozen iPhone, you need to manually switch it off first and then manually turn it back on.
First, long-press the side button or press and hold the side button and volume+ or volume- button together to open the power menu. Now, slide to turn off the iPhone.
Once you do it, wait for around 30 seconds to let the iPhone switch off completely. To reboot the iPhone back, long press the side button until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
If you plug your iPhone into the charger after turning it off, it will automatically turn back on without pressing the side button.

What Are The Disadvantages Of Dark Mode
- Light-against-dark is not always better for eye strain text can appear washed out, increasing eye fatigue
- Can be challenging to read long pieces of content or text in dark mode
- Light text on a dark background can be difficult to read in a well-lit sunny room
- If you have a phone with an older LCD screen, dark mode wont really save your battery. You will need a OLED screen for this to be the case.
Ultimately, opinions remain split on dark mode. But, until we know for sure whether it reduces strain on your eyes at night and helps promote sleep, at least there is the option of leaving your phone outside your bedroom.

iPhone Screen Turned Black And White: How To Fix
There are times when you unknowingly enable some features on your iOS device and just dont know how to disable it. It had happened to me quite some times when I was new to the iOS ecosystem. In trying to learn how to use iPhone like a pro quickly, I would often mess up with the settings and wonder why Im unable to fix some issues which would crop up now and then.
Just a couple of days back, my cousin bought an all new iPhone 6s. While he was trying to master iOS, the iPhone suddenly turned black and white. He thought something had horribly gone wrong on his iPhone when he couldnt solve the issue himself. Later, he told me the whole story with so much of disappointment. Having experienced the same problem myself, I instantly got the idea and was able to fix it right away.
There is a feature called Grayscale Mode in iOS, which turns the device screen into black and white. It comes with the suite of Accessibility and is developed for the people who are color blind or have vision difficulties.
You may have unknowingly enabled this mode on your device. Follow these steps to turn it off.
