Now that you have the data ready to go, its time to start locking the note. Open the Notes app and choose the note that you want to lock. Tap the three-dotted More button, and choose the Lock option.

If this is the first time youre locking a note, youll be asked to create a password and a password hint. From here, also make sure to enable the Touch ID or Face ID option if you want to unlock the notes without entering a password. Tap the Done button to save the setting.
Every time you lock a new note, youll be asked to enter the password again for verification. Once a note is protected, you can quickly lock or unlock the note using the Lock icon from the top toolbar.

How To Remove The Lock From Your Notes
Dont want to lock a note anymore? On your iPhone or iPad, open the note, and after unlocking it, tap the three-dotted More button. Here, choose the Remove option.

Which Type Of Notes Can Be Locked
You can only lock the notes in the iCloud account in the Notes app. That is if you use more than one account in Notes, say your iCloud and Google account, then you cannot lock the notes created in the Google account.
Also, the notes that have PDFs, audio, video, Keynote, Pages, Numbers documents attached, or notes that have collaborators cannot be locked even in the iCloud account.

How To Lock A Note
