Enterprise Or Developer Apps Are Installed
With iOS, its possible to get around Apples security systems by allowing a device to use developer versions of software. This is usually reserved for apps that arent ready to be released to the public yet, or if you work for a company that has an internal app for business use. Nonetheless, it can also be a way for hackers to get around the system.
If you have some apps installed on your phone that dont look right, or that you dont remember installing, then its quite possible that your iPhone has been hacked.
What You Need To Know
- Apple’s iPhone 12 has already had the teardown treatment.
- A video posted to Twitter shows an iPhone 12 being taken apart.
- It looks…. like an iPhone.
Apple’s iPhone 12 will go on sale this coming Friday and people are getting excited to try out their new handsets. But some people already have the latest mid-range iPhone in-hand and they’re doing the only logical thing. They’re taking it apart.
iPhone 12 teardown video.
This video takes us through the process of taking an iPhone 12 handset apart and then shows us the main parts that we’ve been hearing all about. That includes the MagSafe magic on the back glass which, of course, is Blue. Because all the iPhone 12 models we’ve seen seem to be Blue!
While few of us will ever see the insides of our iPhones hopefully! it’s always interesting to see how Apple crams all of the pits and pieces into something so small. Now we need to see an iPhone 12 mini to compare!
The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models will go on sale this Friday, October 23. Those looking for iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max will need to wait for pre-orders to kick off on November 6, with availability the following Friday.

How To Enable Find My iPhone For Airpods
AirPods, Apples truly wireless earbuds, are among the easiest gadgets to misplace. Apple is aware of that. It added Find my iPhone features on the AirPods so you can locate these elusive devices.
Moreover, Apple made it so you only need to enable Find my iPhone on a paired mobile deviceiPhone, iPod Touch, or iPadnot the AirPods themselves. This means if your AirPods are lost, nearby, and out of their case, you can pinpoint their exact location from your phone. If your AirPods are out of battery, inside their case, or out of range, youll be shown their last connected location.
Unlock Your Phone While Wearing A Face Mask
One of the frustrating aspects of wearing a face covering in public while using an iPhone that has Apple’s Face ID tech built in has been the inability to unlock the phone. Because half of your face is covered, Face ID just doesn’t work. And while entering your passcode to unlock your phone works, it’s not as convenient.
You now have the option to turn on a face unlock feature that makes it easy to unlock your iPhone when your face is covered with iOS 15.4. Before the update, you could only unlock your iPhone if you owned an Apple Watch.
To unlock your iPhone with your Apple Watch, open the Settings app on your iPhone and then open the Face ID & Passcode option. Scroll down until you find the Unlock with Apple Watch section , where you can turn on the feature for any watches linked to your iPhone.
If you have an iPhone 12 or iPhone 13 that runs iOS 15.4 or later, you can unlock your iPhone while wearing a mask and without an Apple Watch, too. Go to the Settings app and open Face ID & Passcode. From there, you can toggle Face ID With a Mask and choose the Face ID With a Mask option. It’s pretty awesome.

iPhone 14 Rumors: Release Date Price Sim Cards And More
We still have a while to wait for details about Apple’s new iPhone, but here are all the rumors we’ve heard so far.
An alleged early iPhone 14 render from Jon Prosser, designed by Ian Zelbo.
Apple’s iPhone 13 was released earlier this year, and although the iPhone 14 isn’t quite “just around the corner,” we’ve already started collecting all the latest rumors about Apple’s 2022 flagship smartphone. The iPhone 14 was trending on Twitter even before the iPhone 13 was announced, but there’s still much we haven’t heard yet about the new iPhone’s release date, price, design changes and new features. We’ll be sure to add to this roundup as the rumor mill continues to heat up, so you might want to make a bookmark.
The biggest rumors so far include a new design with a notchless display , a hole-punch front camera, under-display Touch ID, a more durable titanium alloy body, the elimination of the chunky rear camera bump, a shakeup of the four-phone lineup with new screen sizes and the death of the iPhone Mini. It’s said the iPhone 14 could also be equipped with Wi-Fi 6E, and the Pro models may even come with a 48-megapixel camera.

Face Id Security And Privacy
Face ID uses a detailed 3D facial scan that’s unable to be fooled by a photo, mask, or other facial imitation. An “Attention Aware” security feature allows Face ID to unlock your device only when you look in the direction of the iPhone 11 with your eyes open, so it does not work when your eyes are closed, when you’re sleeping, when you’re unconscious, or when you’re looking away from your phone.
Attention aware is optional and there is an accessibility feature to turn it off for those who are unable to focus on the iPhone’s screen, but most people should leave it turned on for the added layer of security.
With the attention aware feature, the iPhone 11 knows when you’re looking at it. Face ID displays notifications and messages on the Lock screen when you look at the iPhone 11, it keeps the screen lit, and it automatically lowers the volume of an alarm or ringer when it knows your attention is on the iPhone 11’s display.
If a thief demands your iPhone, Face ID can be disabled quickly and discretely by pressing on the side button and the volume button at the same time. Do this before handing your phone over, and a thief won’t be able to scan your face. Face ID also turns off after two failed facial recognition attempts and a passcode needs to be entered for it to be turned back on.
How Does Find My iPhone Work
Apple uses several different location technologies to track the position of a device to within a few meters. GPS, short for global positioning system, is unsurprisingly at the top of the list. GPS chips signal a receiver that calculates the devices distance from three or more U.S. satellites. But this isnt always an easy task, so the iPhone uses whats call AGPS, or assisted GPS. Using cell tower data, an iPhone can store the location of satellites and acquire a signal faster. It can even provide location information when GPS isnt available by using crowdsourced Wi-Fi access points and cell tower triangulation.
If Location Services is on, your iPhone will periodically send Apple the geo-tagged locations of nearby Wi-Fi hotspots and cellular towers in an anonymous and encrypted form, Apple states on its website. This information is used for augmenting this crowd-sourced database of Wi-Fi hotspot and cellular tower locations.
Additionally, the iPhone uses Bluetooth for more accurate tracking indoors when GPS is unreliable or unavailable. If you own wireless audio products, youre probably already familiar with the standard. Bluetooth devices send out a signal and can, therefore, track paired gadgets moving in and out of range.

iPhone Xs & Xs Max: September 21 2018
Skipping right over the iPhone 9, Apple announced the XS and XS Max at its September 2018 event in the Steve Jobs Theater. These models were well named, as they were definite upgrades along the lines of the iPhone X. Both models had the front-facing camera for Portrait-mode selfies. The displays were edge to edge, and it all looked great with the Super Retina HD display. The biggest upgrade might be the smallest the A12 bionic chip increased the processing power while decreasing battery drain.

- iPhone 13 mini review: Small phone with big performance
The regular iPhone 13 has some flaws. The charging is still relatively slow compared to some Android phones. And I don’t like that only the iPhone 13 Pro models get a 120Hz display and telephoto zoom. But based on my in-depth iPhone 13 review, this new iPhone is the best phone for the money.
Check out our iPhone 13 mini review if you want all the same features of the iPhone 13 in a smaller design. Want a 120Hz display and telephoto zoom? See our iPhone 13 Pro review. And our iPhone 13 Pro Max review is the place to go if you want the biggest screen.

The iPhone 6s And iPhone 6s Plus
The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus were very similar to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. The phones were slightly thicker, slightly heavier, and made of a stronger aluminum that made it tougher to bend. It also had a finish that made it slightly less slippery to hold.
Other than that, Apple kept all the design choices from the iPhone 6, for better or worse. The display was still the star of the show, but details on the back of the phone like the awkward antenna lines and the rear camera bump left much to be desired.

Turn Off 5g Coverage You Don’t Want Or Have
Apple touts a Smart Data feature that’s specific to its 5G phones that will automatically switch between 4G LTE and 5G networks — without you having to know or do a thing — based on how you’re using your device. The automatic switch is part of an effort to improve battery life. However, you may find that your iPhone’s battery drains faster than it did before. If you don’t want to sacrifice battery life for faster 5G speeds, shut it down. You can always turn 5G back on when you want it, or when service in your area improves.
To turn off 5G on your iPhone 12 or iPhone 13, forcing it to always use 4G LTE even if you have 5G coverage, open the Settings app, then go to Cellular> Cellular Data Options> Voice & Data and tap LTE.
Alternatively, if you want your iPhone to exclusively use a 5G connection when available, you can select 5G On.

iPhone 7 & 7 Plus: September 16 2016
Apple finally dropped the 16 GB base model option, with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus base models starting at 32 GB of storage and going up to 256 GB. Apple also introduced a new shiny Jet Black color. The iPhone 7 Plus proved to be more popular than previous Plus models due to its new dual camera, which made a significantly improved zoom feature possible, and Portrait mode, a software update that let iPhone 7 Plus users take impressive photos using Depth of Field. Perhaps the most controversial feature of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus was the one Apple removed: the headphone jack. The new iPhones shipped with EarPods that plugged into the Lightning port and an adaptor for traditional headphones. Apple introduced its wireless AirPods at the same event it announced it was eliminating the headphone jack.
