Where’s the Night mode?
You probably know that the existing iPhone SE lacked a Night mode, since we couldn’t stop complaining about the omission. At the time, it kind of made sense Night mode was a relatively new feature when the iPhone SE came out, and leaving it off that phone let Apple distinguish between its flagships and its less expensive option.
But in the subsequent two years, other cheaper phones have adopted low- and no-light features the Pixel 5a being the chief example. You’d think that Apple would follow suit with the iPhone SE , especially given that the phone has more than enough processing oomph, but Night mode once again didn’t make the final cut.
We’re struggling to think of a reason why there’s no Night mode on the iPhone SE, other than Apple still wants there to be a difference that phone and its other options. If so, Apple has succeeded, though that’s not necessarily a distinction the phone maker is going to want to publicize.
There’s also no mmWave 5G support
When we say the iPhone SE supports 5G, we should add an asterisk to that claim. Yes, you’ll be able to connect to most 5G networks, though not ones that rely on mmWave-based 5G. Apple’s new phone doesn’t have the bands to support that flavor of the networking standard.
The same old design
If you want a perfectly functional phone, there’s nothing wrong with the iPhone SE . But if you want your handset to wow other people, maybe look elsewhere.

A Slight Price Bump To $429
The second-generation iPhone SE started at $399. As with the other 5G iPhones, however, that starting price has jumped $30 to $429. Youll be able to pre-order the phone on Friday, March 11, and it will ship and be available in stores a week later on March 18.
In other words, the new iPhone SE is essentially identical to the two-year-old model it replaces, but with a two-years-newer processor and everything that comes along with it. For those looking for the latest and greatest iPhone, its features will come up woefully short. But those more concerned with price and longevity will be thrilled, and thats a substantial market.

iPhone Se Vs iPhone Se : Cameras
The iPhone SE 3 features a single rear camera once more, which on the surface is annoying. We’d like to see at least an ultrawide lens added to the mix.
However, since it packs the latest A15 Bionic chip, it should offer a number of computational photography upgrades. The A15 Bionic enables a lot of nifty things. There’s Smart HDR 4 and Deep Fusion onboard. And Photographic Styles come along for the ride, which enables users to apply their preferences across scenes and subjects.
One feature that did not migrate from the iPhone 13 to the iPhone SE 3 is Cinematic mode for video. Presumably, this requires two lens to make the rack focus effect work. Also, there is no Night mode, which the iPhone SE also lacked outright. This is a glaring omission on Apple’s part without any proper excuse we can think of.

What Are The iPhone Se 3 Specs
The iPhone SE had a simple ethos: the latest iPhone specs in an old-fashioned design. Two years later, much of the same spirit applies here though were not sure thats a good thing.
The design is exactly the same as the previous model, which in effect means its the same design as the iPhone 8 from 2017.
Youll get the same 4.7in Retina HD display , surrounded by a thick bezel on all sides. It is at least now coated by what Apple calls the toughest glass in a smartphone, which also protects the phones rear.
Theres no notch, but there is a Home Button which takes up a large space below the display. That does mean Touch ID remains, but in turn theres no Face ID.
Its available in three colours: black, white, and red a.k.a. midnight, starlight, and PRODUCT, to go by Apples official names.
The good news is that once again, its powered by the absolute latest iPhone processor. In this case its the A15 Bionic, replacing the A13 Bionic found in the previous SE. The long and short of it is that this phone should be just as powerful as even the top-spec iPhone 13 Pro Max, albeit with the disclaimer that Apple has most likely included less RAM here, which may slightly limit multi-tasking performance.
Just as importantly, the A15 brings with it support for 5G, marking a clear step up from the last model.
Still, not every high-end iPhone feature has made the cut, with no sign of Apples novel MagSafe tech. Waterproofing has been included however, with an IP67 rating.

As of fall 2021, there have been a total of 13 series of the iPhone, and most releases included multiple models. Apple has released a total of 33 iPhones over the years, including the latest iPhone 13 line and the iPhone SE . As you can see, the iPhone has gone through a lot of changes, from a 16 GB web browser to a 1 TB all-in-one camera, workspace, and entertainment center.
In the early days, Apple released one iPhone per year. That gradually changed as the releases of new models got closer and closer together from 2010 to 2013. With the September rollout, though, Apple released both the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c, ushering in an era of two iPhone releases per year. 2017, 2018, and 2019 each saw the release of three more iPhone models, and then in 2020 the tech giant shocked the world. Not only did it release the iPhone SE in April, the company also rolled out the four iPhones in the 12-series lineup in its delayed fall announcement. At their September 2021 event, Apple revealed the four new phones that comprise the iPhone 13 lineup, the latest phones available from Apple.

More Storage In The Base Model
The 2022 iPhone SE got its debut at Apple’s Peek Performance event.
Apple increased the iPhone 13 lineup’s base storage capacity up to 128GB from 64GB. Unfortunately, that approach didn’t trickle down to the new iPhone SE, which starts at 64GB of storage. You could argue that the 128GB iPhone SE, which costs $479, is hundreds of dollars cheaper than the base iPhone 13. But Apple is still behind its competitors in this regard: Samsung’s $400 Galaxy A42 5G, comes with 128GB of internal storage, as does Google’s $449 Pixel 5A with 5G.

Apple’s 2022 iPhone SE is one of the fastest smartphones in the world, not to mention the smallest and most affordable iPhone that unlocks access to most of the latest 5G network bandsnot bad considering it starts at $429. But you should demand a little more from your device, especially in terms of battery life, hardware design, and camera features. If you own an older model and want a more future-proof phone, or you simply dont want to spend a lot more on a high-end handset, the new iPhone SE is definitely worth considering. What Is Different Compared To The 2020 iPhone Se
Both the 2020 and 2022 iPhone SEs look the same, and they actually borrow their external design from the iPhone 8 of 2017. But inside is a different story. The 2022 iPhone SE has the new A15 Bionic processor, as used by the iPhone 13. This should mean far greater performance compared to the 2020 release.
Apple says the new phones glass front and rear are tougher than before, and while the camera hardware remains the same, the A15 processor introduces new computational photography technology, called Smart HDR 4, for improved imagery.
