Why Is There No Charger With iPhone
To some extent Apples decision makes sense: the majority of customers buying a new iPhone will already own the necessary adapter so they can plug in their iPhone. Similarly, leaving the earpods out makes sense because a lot of people discard the included earbuds in favour of their own headphones, or even Apples wireless AirPods, which have become increasingly popular.
Apples Vice President for Environment, Politics and Social Initiatives Lisa Jackson justified the move during the Hi, Speed keynote in 2020 by pointing out that customers already have over 700 million Lightning headphones.
There are also more than two billion Apple power adapters in the world, not counting the billions of connections from third-party manufacturers.
The removal of the surplice products from the box also leads to smaller boxes, which in turn reduces carbon emissions from Apples logistics chain, Jackson added.
Apple has also left the power adapter out of the box for the Apple Watch Series 6 and Watch SE, and the same will be true of the Apple Watch 7. Read: Which plug do I need for my Apple Watch?
However, there is, as you would imagine an outcry from people who feel that they are being cheated by Apple. Ex-Android users are particularly affected as they dont have existing Lightning cables plugs that they could use like the rest of us. Read: Apple is letting down ex-Android users.
Types Of Alcatel Chargers
- Micro USB 2.0. Surprisingly, Micro USB is the most popular charger type for Alcatel. The 5 pin connector used to charge devices and transfer data help keeps the cost of the phones down.
- Type C. Alcatel only has a handful of products that utilize USB-C. Most brands are switching over to Type C but for now Alcatel is keeping it classic.

How Does Magsafe Work
MagSafe is a series of magnets placed around the iPhone 12s internal charging coil, which senses other MagSafe compatible accessories and snaps seamlessly and securely into place. MagSafe will only attach to other compatible MagSafe accessories, so theres no need to worry about other magnets interfering or getting stuck to your phone.

Which Charger Is Best For The iPhone 12
There are several different kinds of chargers that work for the iPhone 12. But, you’re probably wanting to know which charger works the best.
The truth is that no single charger is better than the others. Some offer more wattage over time.
For example, Qi chargers offer 7.5W charging while MagSafe chargers offer 15W charging. But, the charging time between those wattages isn’t enough to warrant choosing one over the other.
However, we should note that wireless chargers are slower than wired chargers. Those of us who charge our phones overnight may not notice the difference. But, people wanting a fast charge in the morning may notice that wired chargers are better for the iPhone 12.
Ways To Charge Your New iPhone 12
Apple did the unthinkable with its new iPhone 12: It stopped including a charging brick in the box. It’s supposedly better for the environment, but that’s no real consolation when your phone dies and you don’t have a compatible charging brick to resurrect it.
To make matters worse, the cable that comes with the iPhone 12 is Lightning to USB-C. In other words, the part that connects to your phone is the same as always, but the other end won’t plug into your old USB charging brick. It’s time to find a new solution, unless you feel like using the same brick and cable combination you’ve always used. If that’s the case, party on, dudes.
Anyway, Apple’s questionable business decision at least gives iPhone 12 owners an opportunity to introduce USB-C and wireless charging into their lives before one becomes a full-time standard. USB-C, in particular, isn’t going away, so it might be time to invest in a compliant charging solution.

Why Does The iPhone 12 Come With No Charger In The Box
Apple confirmed on October 13 that the next iPhone will be the first to drop the charging plug and headphones from the box.
The company’s white wall plug and wired Earpods have been bundled with every iPhone since 2007, but they’ll now be sold separately.
Apple made the announcement during the unveiling of four new iPhones at its “Hi, Speed” virtual event on Tuesday.
Speaking during the showcase, hosted at Apple Park in California, Apple’s Lisa Jackson said that more than 700million pairs of Earpods and 2billion Apple power adapters were in circulation around the world.
“And that’s not counting the billions of third party adapters,”added Jackson, who is VP of Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives at Apple.
“We’re removing these items from the iPhone box,” Jackson said. “Which reduces carbon emissions and avoids the mining and use of precious materials.”
Jackson said the removal of these items allows for a slimmer and lighter iPhone box, meaning Apple can fit up to 70 per cent more products on a shipping pallet.
This will also help reduce carbon emissions, she added.
The move is part of Apple’s commitment to having net zero carbon impact by 2030.
That means reducing a lot of its waste and changing what materials it uses.
Apple Is Making More Things Wireless
Ports are a practical conduit for phones to deliver three key functions: charging, data transfer and audio output. Before adding MagSafe to its phones, Apple developed AirDrop and iCloud for data transferring. As for audio, Apple kicked off the mainstream trend of wireless earbuds in earnest when it introduced the first-gen AirPods in 2016.
Apple also unveiled a MagSafe-compatible leather wallet that clips on to new iPhones and costs $59.

What Charger Will iPhone 12 Use
While the iPhone 12 will be able to charge via any Lightning cable, Qi charger, or, starting this year, MagSafe charger that you have, the iPhone 12 line only comes with a Lightning-to-USB-C cable. So if you want to charge with the included cable, you’ll need to get a wall charger equipped with a USB-C port.
Why The iPhone 13 Doesn’t Come With A Charger
If someone currently has a charging adapter with a connected Lightning cable, there’s nothing to worry about. Just plug the iPhone 13 into that, charge up like normal, and call it a day. Similarly, if someone buying the iPhone 13 has Qi wireless chargers throughout their home, the iPhone 13 can use those just fine as well. In Apple’s eyes, most people buying an iPhone 13 likely already have the proper accessories to charge its battery. By not including a potentially unwanted charging adapter, Apple gets to cut back on e-waste and keep some extra cash in its pocket. Whether or not this is the right move is up for debate, but that’s how Apple’s doing business these days.
On the off chance someone buying the iPhone 13 does not have a compatible wall adapter, there are seemingly endless charging accessories that’ll get the job done. The easiest choice for most people is the official USB-C Power Adapter sold by Apple. It delivers 20W charge speeds, works with the cable that comes with the iPhone 13, and costs $19. Just about any USB-C power adapter on Amazon will also work, but this is the best option for folks who want to only buy from Apple. Apple also sells a 30W power adapter for $49, but that’s really only needed for larger devices like a MacBook or iPad. Since the iPhone 13 maxes out at 20W wired charging speeds, there’s no tangible benefit of buying an adapter more powerful than that.

What Kind Of Charger Does A Magsafe Use
Apple suggests that anyone who is using a MagSafe charger should use a 20W charging cable. With MagSafe’s 15W charging output, this could increase the phone’s charging power
However, a MagSafe charger does not beat the charging power of a USB-C charger, even when you use it with a 20W charging cable.

Types Of Samsung Chargers
- Micro USB. This is the most common charger found in Samsung Galaxy smartphones. The end that attaches to the device is the smaller side, and then the other larger side is what most people know as USB A.
- USB Type C. This is what Samsung has transitioned to for their newer models. For one thing, the important difference is Type C chargers have the same type of plug on either side of the cord.
Will Any iPhone 12 Come With A Charger
None of the iPhone 12 models will come with a charging block. However, each model will come with a charging cord.
It is also notable that there will also be no lightning EarPods as well. This is true for all of the iPhone 12 models/versions: iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Apple is also removing the charging block and lightning EarPods from previous generations of iPhones: iPhone SE , iPhone XR, and iPhone 11.

Whats The Difference Between Made For Magsafe And Magsafe Compatible
Our accessories that are built with MagSafe have the official MagSafe technology from Apple inside them. Such products will be marked with a Made for MagSafe badge, which means they have been developed and rigorously tested to MFi guidelines and optimized for iPhone 12, and wireless chargers with MagSafe can charge faster at up to 15W.
Our other magnetic accessories that are MagSafe compatible meet industry standards and still provide the convenience and precision of snap-on attachment with a magnetic ring, but dont have the official MagSafe technology inside, so wireless chargers will only charge at 7.5W. These products are held to our highest standards and designed with consumer in mind completely safe to use with your iPhone 12 models.

Types Of Oneplus Chargers:
- Micro USB 2.0. The small plug that most people recognize as a phone or camera charger. They contain 5 pins that charge our devices or transfer data to and from a computer.
- Type C. This is overwhelmingly the most common charger used by OnePlus. The Type C charger is gaining popularity due to its fast charging capabilities. Additionally, the plug can be inserted flipped up or down.
Does The iPhone 13 Come With A Charger
The iPhone 13 comes with a USB-C to Lightning cable, which you could use to plug your iPhone in to charge if you already have a USB-C adapter plug, or a USB-C port on your computer.
However, if the only adapter plugs you have in your house are the older USB standard then you will need to purchase a new adapter.
Apple has confirmed that all four new iPhone 13 models will not come with any charger or headphones, just like the iPhone 12 series lacked these features in 2020.

Apple Keeps Improving Wireless Charging
After holding out for years, Apple embraced wireless technology in 2018 when it added support for the Qi-based wireless inductive charging standard to its iPhone 8 and iPhone X. Apple initially limited the power to just 5 watts, but later boosted it to 7.5 watts via a software update. This was an indication that Apple was regarding wireless charging not as a specialty feature, but as a necessary one.
There’s also chatter about a new wireless charging pad in the works to replace AirPower, which was ultimately canceled before it had a chance to hit the market. Rather than charging multiple devices simultaneously like the AirPower promised, this Qi pad would likely charge one device at a time.
Apple’s MagSafe charging system relies on magnets to autoalign the charging puck with any phone from the iPhone 12 family.
Now Apple says MagSafe works even faster than Qi chargers. Its charger now offers twice the amount of power at 15 watts, which could bring it on par with the Quick Charge technology that Android phones have long enjoyed. Admittedly, Apple has some catching up to do versus Chinese competitors such as Xiaomi and Oppo, but overall the industry is charging forward.
Does The iPhone 13 Have Usb
The new iPhone 13 lineup is the best yet, but does it support USB-C?
Wondering does the iPhone 13 have USB-C? Apple has released its lineup of 2021 iPhones and the models are pretty impressive. Theres the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, which feature all-new colors, a faster A15 chip, and better battery life. Then theres the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, which feature all of the above, plus stunning camera improvements.
And of course, all iPhones run the latest iOS 15 operating system, which itself adds a ton of new software improvements. All iPhones also feature the MagSafe wireless charging technology Apple introduced with the iPhone 12 last year. And yep, all iPhones still have the Lightning port though you CAN use the iPhone 13 with USB-C ports.

The Quickest Charge: Anker Nano 20
At just $16.99, originally $19.99, this charger is both smaller in size and cheaper than Apples own 20-watt charger. It has some super-neat tech inside gallium nitride, or GaN, is replacing silicon inside. These electrical components, which power the charge, are both smaller than silicon and dont get as hot. Even when deep into a charge, the brick does not get overly warm to the touch. And with a single USB-C port on the front, it works with the included cable that comes with your iPhone.
During our tests, charging speeds with the Nano were lighting quick.
For our charging testing, we ensured the iPhones battery was fully drained. After just two minutes and 16 seconds of being plugged in, the Apple logo appeared and the iPhone turned itself back on. And at three minutes and 42 seconds, it was already at 10%.
We should note that, generally, iPhones are quicker to charge in the beginning and slow down as they reach closer to 100%. This goes back to the technology inside the lithium ion battery. At 15 minutes flat, the iPhone 12 Pro reached 27%, and at just 27 minutes it was already at 50%. It fully reached 100% in under one hour.
Anker 40w Powerport Iiinano Pro Charge Two iPhones Simultaneously
The Anker Powerport III Nano Pro is as fast as durable. It distributes a 40W output evenly between two USB-C ports during concurrent use. And it also features built-in temperature and power control chips. The prongs arent foldable, though. But Anker Nano Pro is portable and delivers the appropriate charge to your device.
In addition to iPhone 8 and later, its compatible with iPad Pro and MacBook Air 2018 upward. Because it shares power between the ports, I recommend you avoid charging a device that requires above 20W power along with another device.
Nonetheless, feel free to share the ports with any mobile device, as these typically use less than 20W.
