According to a tweet by ShrimpApplePro , the iPhone 14 will receive a 3,279-mAh battery while the iPhone 14 Max gets a 4,325-mAh cell. A 3,200-mAh unit is apparently headed to the iPhone 14 Pro while the iPhone 14 Pro Max has to settle for a battery with a 4,323-mAh capacity. Not only is that latter figure slightly lower than the iPhone 14 Maxs battery, it is also lower than the 4,352-mAh battery found in the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Obviously, apart from the fact that the data might be fake, the details have raised some eyebrows among followers and commenters, wondering why Apple would even consider fitting the iPhone 14 Pro Max with a lower-capacity battery. However, with some deeper digging not only is there precedent for such a move, but it also makes sense when considering iPhone 13 vs. iPhone 13 Pro battery life performance and the rumored upgrades coming to the iPhone 14 series. Starting with precedence, the iPhone 12 actually had a lower-capacity battery inside it than the previous-generation iPhone 11 and yet Apple claims both offer up to 17 hours of video playback despite the capacity differences. The iPhone 12 Pro Max also had a smaller battery capacity than the iPhone 11 Pro Max .

If your iPhones lithium-ion battery dies, you can get it replaced. Apple recommends that you do it officially, via its battery replacement scheme.
If your iPhone is in warranty, there is no charge to replace the battery.
However, given the lifespan of lithium-ion batteries, this isnt likely to be the case. Out of warranty, an iPhone battery replacement costs $69.
And to get it done, all you have to do is either visit an Apple Store or apply for it online.
What about third-party companies? You can use these to replace your iPhones battery life , but Apple DOES NOT recommend this.
Why? If something goes wrong your phone will be dead and nothing will bring it back.
For this reason, its probably worth taking the $69 hit and getting it done officially by Apple.

In numbers shared by MacRumors and retrieved from a Chinese regulatory database, the new iPhone 14 battery capacities have all been confirmed ahead of their September 16 release.

However, Apple stills says that we should expect all-day battery life from the device and the new A16 Bionic is likely to save some energy compared to last years A15 Bionic something that could help make that smaller battery less of an issue.

Capacity wise 4,323mAh compared to 4,352mAh isnt a big drop and in truth probably wont be noticeable in day-to-day life but its a step in the wrong direction and seems a bit of an odd move by Apple.

iPhone With Biggest Battery
As you can see from the table above, the batteries used inside Apples iPhone have gotten progressively bigger over the years.
The iPhone started life with a 1219mAh battery inside the iPhone 3GS and now, inside the latest iPhone 13 Pro Max, it is packing a massive 4353 mAh battery, a huge difference.
With the iPhone 13, Apple really doubled down on battery performance, adding in larger batteries across the board. The reason this was done was that the iPhone 12s battery performance just wasnt up to the task, thanks to the power-draining effects of 5G.

It wasnt until the introduction of Apples iPhone Plus models that battery life aboard iPhones started becoming competitive.
Before the iPhone 6, Apple used smaller sub-4in displays for its iPhones. This meant the chassis of the handset was small, so larger batteries were not possible.

The standard iPhone 14 is said to have a 3,279mAh battery up from 3,240mAh in the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 14 Pro battery is said to be 3,200mAh up from 3,095mAh in the iPhone 13 Pro. This leaves the new iPhone 14 Max with its alleged 4,325mAh battery as the only model to feature a downgrade.
Theres no way of knowing if this leak is accurate or not, but if it is we are still expecting the iPhone 14 Max to be one of the best smartphones on the market when it launches. Furthermore, we are only talking about a slight download on the battery in the iPhone 13 Max, which has proved to have excellent battery life.

Do Larger iPhones Have Better Battery Life
When something gets bigger, it needs more energy this applies to car engines, human bodies, and iPhones.

From here, Apples gradually been making improvements to the iPhones battery life, adding in more performance and increased longevity.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max retains the flat edges of the iPhone 12 Pro Max but looks a bit different. For one, the camera array is larger than before, so it takes up a bit more real estate on the back of the phone.
Weighing 8.46 ounces, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is also notably heavier than its 8.03-ounce predecessor. But Ill allow that given the new iPhone Pro has a larger battery.
On the plus side, the iPhone 13 Pro Maxs notch is a bit smaller on the display, as Apple shrunk it 20% while retaining the same key Face ID tech. Its not a full-screen look, but its an improvement over recent iPhones.
My only real complaint with the iPhone 13s design is that it doesnt offer Touch ID, either in the power button or underneath the display. At a time many people are still wearing masks in public places, it would be nice to have an alternative way to easily unlock our iPhones.
Fortunately, the iOS 15.4 software update enables Face ID to work with masks. And we have tested the update and it works well.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max comes in four colors: graphite, gold, silver and sierra blue. I would opt for the blue model if paying with my own money. The graphite model I tested has a sleek professional vibe, but its not as playful.
iPhone 13 Pro Max: Ios 16
Apple started releasing the iOS 16 betas over the summer, which you can test on an iPhone 13 Pro Max. The biggest updates coming later this year center around the lock screen. Apple will now let you customize it completely. It’s really quite neat.
