iPhone Release Dates: When Will The iPhone 13 Arrive
The new iPhone 13 series dropped on September 14, 2021 and is now available from most cell phone carriers on the market. While the iPhone 13 may not be the leap in the future of models past, it is nonetheless a worthwhile upgrade from the iPhone 11 or even the more recent iPhone 12. iPhone Se Review: Design
Picking up the iPhone SE for me is like taking a trip back in time. Theres a Touch ID button instead of Face ID, and the bezels around the display take up a lot of room compared to, say, the iPhone 13 mini or vs. Google Pixel 5a face off).
Then again, this phone isnt designed for me. Its for people who like small phones and are probably stepping up from the iPhone 8 with the same size display and nearly the same design.
And this is definitely a compact device, weighing just 5.09 ounces and measuring 5.45 x 2.85 x 0.29 inches. It makes my iPhone 13 Pro Max look like a skyscraper, and I did appreciate using a phone I could easily slip in my pocket without being noticeable. I also liked that I could do pretty much everything with one hand.
The iPhone SE is IP67 water resistant, which I tested by dropping it into a fountain. And this handset is more durable than the previous model because it uses the same tough glass as the iPhone 13.
Apple sent us the Midnight color of the iPhone SE , which is a deep Navy that shifts colors in sunlight to a lighter blue. Theres also Starlight and Product Red. The materials used to make the iPhone SE included carbon-free aluminum, a first for Apple.
iPhone 3g Release Date: July 11 2008
In the first year of iPhone history, there were extremely high levels of customer satisfaction, as well as figures that showed people really were using the phone in the way it was meant to be used, i.e. people were using it for email, web browsing, and calling/texting, according to Steve Jobs. iPhone Se Review: Performance
I shouldn’t be surprised by how fast the iPhone SE is, as it packs the same A15 Bionic chip that’s inside the iPhone 13. But that doesn’t make its performance any less impressive.
I had a blast playing the Marvel Revolution game as Captain America, fighting multiple enemies with my shield along with flashy special attacks. And then I took on Red Skull and his face had a scary amount of detail. The action was quite fluid and the graphics spectacular.
On Geekbench 5, which measures overall performance, the iPhone SE turned in a single-core score of 1,718 and a multi-core result of 4,482. The iPhone 13 turned in comparable but even slightly lower scores of 1,684 and 4,129. The Google Pixel 5a, which is powered by a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chip, mustered a single-core score of just 569 and and multi-core score of 1,595.
On the 3DMark Wild Life Benchmark, the iPhone SE reached 50 frames per second and a score of 8,352. The iPhone 13 was slightly higher at 55.9 fps, but the Pixel 5a was way behind at just 10 fps and a score of 450.
The biggest performance gap between the iPhone SE and Pixel 5a came with our video encoding test, in which we transcode a 4K clip to 1080p using the Adobe Premiere rush app. The new iPhone SE needed just 27 seconds, compared to nearly 2 minutes for the Pixel 5a.
First iPhone Countries And Carriers
By Christmas of 2007, Apple dropped these prices, much to the chagrin of consumers, and this helped to boost sales. But one of the things that really held back iPhone sale in the beginning, even though the numbers are still quite staggering, was that the phone was only available in limited countries and on limited networks.
In the U.S., for example, the iPhone was only offered through the wireless carrier Cingular. This would change in the coming years, but an exclusivity contract between the two companies meant that one needed to be a Cingular customer to enjoy the state-of-the-art technology included in the iPhone.
In addition to the United States, the iPhone was also sold in the United Kingdom and Germany using similar exclusive contracts like the one between Apple in Cingular.
During its first year, the iPhone also became available in Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as France. However, Apple soon ran into legal trouble as many European phone carriers sued Apple for its exclusivity contract, a move which caused a temporary halt to iPhone sales in Europe. However, despite this limited release, iPhones got into the hands of people all over the world and expanding the market became a defining characteristic of the next chapter of iPhone history.

Should You Upgrade Your iPhone Se
Apple no longer sells the iPhone SE because it just released the third-generation model, but you can still buy a renewed model of the two-year-old iPhone SE from third-party sellers like Amazon or Walmart.
The new iPhone SE is an excellent option for first-time iPhone buyers, people who haven’t upgraded their iPhone in years, and people who just want the best budget iPhone. However, if you have an iPhone SE , the new iPhone SE really feels like a small step-up and not a true game-changer.
iPhone 3g Features And Functionality
Although the iPhone 3G ushered in a new era in the history of the iPhone, it was actually not a tremendous upgrade from the original version of the device. It addressed many of the issues mentioned above, but many other things stayed the same.
The most important change was that the iPhone 3G, as the name suggests, was equipped with 3G capability, which meant users could browse the web and download content much faster than they could with the original iPhone.
Another major change with the iPhone 3G was the introduction of the App Store, iOS 2, and developer software that made it possible for third-parties to create their own apps. In terms of screen size, the iPhone 3G stayed the same as the original iPhone. However, Apple changed from using an aluminum backing to one made of polycarbonate, a move that made the iPhone 3G slightly lighter. It also allowed Apple to offer the iPhone in different colors, black or white.

iPhone 5 Countries And Carriers
By now, the iPhone was being sold on countless networks in countless countries. Just over five million iPhones were sold the first weekend the iPhone 5 was available, the most ever for the first weekend, although this number disappointed stockholders who were expecting sales figures to be much higher. The phone launched in the US, Canada, Australia, and most of Europe on September 21, 2012, and by the end of the year, it was available in more than 100 countries around the world.

iPhone Se 3 Early Thoughts
Want a small, affordable iPhone with 5G? The pocket-friendly iPhone SE 3 could be just the job. The current version is a What Hi-Fi? Award-winner, so the addition of 5G and the fastest chip in any iPhone sounds promising.
It’s a shame that Apple hasn’t dragged the design into 2022 but then, the SE is the company’s entry-level handset, and cut products tend to come with compromises here and there.
How will the iPhone SE compare to other low-cost smartphones such as the ? We’ll have to wait and see. But if the rumoured iPhone 14 Mini is dead and buried, the iPhone SE 3 could become the compact iPhone of choice for Apple fans.

iPhone 13 Mini: September 24 2021
Like its bigger siblings, the iPhone 13 mini runs on Apple’s A15 Bionic chip, making it a powerhouse in a small package. Its battery life has improved up to an hour and a half a day over the iPhone 12 mini. As with other iPhone 13 models, the mini features big camera improvements, and the most storage available of any mini model at a maximum storage capacity of 512 GB. Its design and physical size also largely mirror the iPhone 12 mini, clocking in with a screen size of 5.4 inches. It features the same color options as the iPhone 13 and a starting price of $699 for 128 GB.
Portrait Mode And Portrait Lighting
While there aren’t two cameras, the iPhone SE does support Portrait Mode, Portrait Lighting, and Depth Control using the image signal processor and the Neural Engine for computational photography. The iPhone SE is the first iPhone that uses a purely software solution to enable Portrait Mode.
Portrait Mode allows for artful blurring of the background in an image when taking a portrait photo of a person, pet, or object, while Portrait Lighting allows six studio-quality lighting effects to be added to images. Depth Control allows the amount of blur in an image captured in Portrait Mode to be tuned for the best possible blend of blurring and detail.

iPhone 5 Release Date: September 21 2012
While for some the release of the iPhone 5 came a year late, theres no doubt that it was an exciting moment in iPhone history, mainly because it was the first iPhone to make use of the ultra-fast LTE networks being offered by AT& T and Verizon at the time. However, this was far from the only upgrade made with the iPhone 5.
iPhone Se Review: Video
The iPhone SE can capture 4K video at up to 60 fps, and I put it to the test against the Pixel 5a shooting this footage of the Raritan Bay at a nearby park. The iPhone’s video is warmer and has more contrast, bringing out a bit more detail in the wood by the shore.
However, the Pixel 5a’s clip looks brighter, and as a result the white points of the waves look a bit crisper, as do the Canadian geese on the beach and in the water. The footage is a bit more washed out, but you can make out more detail in the rocks as I pan all the way to the right. While the iPhone SE’s zoom is more limited, the Pixel 5a’s is jumpy and quite fuzzy at the max level.

The Rise And Fall Of The Ipod
The iPod was released in 2001 and quickly became not only a consumer favorite but also one of Apples major revenue streams.
But even as iPod sales were climbing rapidly, Apples executive team knew its days were limited. Customers were carrying around both an iPod and a mobile phone and were convinced that the mobile phones would eventually have the ability to play music, something that would make iPods obsolete.
To keep the company profitable and maintain its position as a market leader in tech innovation, Apple executives knew they needed to come up with the next generation of mobile phones before their competitors did.
iPhone Se Plus Size And Design
Here’s where it gets tricky. While some reports point to the iPhone SE Plus having a screen size of 5.5 inches, others say it could have a 6.1-inch panel. JP Morgan Chase believes that Apple will borrow the 6.1-inch design of the iPhone 11 for the iPhone SE 3.
Analyst Ross Young of DisplaySearch believes that Apple will opt for a 6.1-inch LCD screen on what he’s calling the iPhone SE 3, but that model won’t surface until 2023.
According to MacRumors, the iPhone SE Plus won’t have Face ID but will instead feature a Touch ID sensor that’s integrated into the power button on the right side of the phone. That would make a 6.1-inch iPhone SE Plus a lot more likely and closer to a full-screen design.
As for the screen itself, we expect an LCD panel as opposed to an OLED one, which would allow Apple to keep the price down. All four iPhone 13 models offer OLED screens, so an LCD iPhone SE Plus would make sense.
The most interesting rumor is that the iPhone SE Plus could have no ports at all. Apple is said to be working on a an iPhone that is portless, and Front Page Tech’s Jon Prosser says that it many not be a flagship device.
A portless iPhone would allow Apple to ditch the Lightning port and experiment with new features, such as a dock connector without taking too big a risk with something like the iPhone 13. But for now it’s hard to say whether Apple would make this bold of a move with the iPhone SE Plus.
