Reviews For The iPhone 13 Models
- The iPhone 13 mini is the smallest of the 2021 iPhones, although it still features the same modern design with flat edges as the bigger models, as well as the same fantastic performance. To learn more about it, please see our iPhone 13 mini review.
- The iPhone 13 is the middle child of the 2021 models, featuring a more traditional-sized 6.1-inch display and the second biggest battery after the Pro Max. If you’re interested in learning more about this model, see our iPhone 13 review.
- The iPhone 13 Pro features an extra camera and two extra gigabytes of RAM over the previous two models. In addition, its display is twice as smooth at 120Hz refresh rate, as opposed to 60Hz. This is also the only iPhone 13 model aside from the Pro Max to be available in 1TB of storage. Learn more about it in our iPhone 13 Pro review.
- The iPhone 13 Pro Max shares a lot with the Pro, but is also the largest of the bunch, sporting a 6.7-inch display. It also has the largest battery . Please refer to our iPhone 13 Pro Max review for more.
Does The iPhone 11 Have Magsafe What You Need To Know

Apples iPhone 11 is still an excellent buy in 2022, despite it now being two years old. But does the iPhone 11 have MagSafe? Lets find out
MagSafe is one of Apples new innovations. The technology, which is composed of a wire coil located inside your iPhone, lets users attach things to the back of their iPhones things like an external battery pack or a holder for your cards.

G Models Will Be Entirely Different From The 4g Models
The iPhone 12 models will be differentiated by their capacity connectivity, and the 5G phones will be much more advanced compared with the 4G units. 5G stands for fifth-generation connectivity, which allows super-fast Internet connection, greater data capacity, and enhanced reliability, meaning less downtime for your phones Internet connection.
iPhone 12 Review: Camera
When it comes to camera specs, there isn’t a huge amount of difference from the iPhone 11. The iPhone 12 Pro has some additional changes, but the new features here are small tweaks, not huge leaps forward.
There are two rear cameras: one ultra-wide lens, and one wide-angle , both with 12-megapixel sensors. The ultra-wide lens is roughly a 0.5x zoom compared to the wide or, if you like, the wide is like a 2x zoom compared to the ultra-wide.
The wide lens has a larger aperture this year , which is great for low-light and Night mode shots especially, but also helps with crispness and colour vibrancy in any shot.
The other differences are that the ultra-wide lens now has lens correction applied automatically so that its shots feature less distortion , and that Night mode is now possible on the ultra-wide lens and the front-facing camera.
Being able to take Night mode selfies is a really nice addition, though is a little less of a slam dunk than taking them on the rear camera, since it’s harder to hold the phone still and get a good angle of yourself. In my experience, Night mode selfies give you the best colours and overall look to a photo, plus flexibility over the angle and composition the front flash gives more detail for face-focused shots, but only illuminates the face, so isn’t such an overall image improvement.

iPhone 12 Cameras: What Else Is New
The iPhone has long been considered one of the best camera phones, and that’s unlikely to change with the iPhone 12. Still, other phone makers have stepped up their game, both in terms of camera hardware and software. On the hardware front, we’re particularly impressed by the Space Zoom lens on the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and its ability to produce some pretty clear images with its 50x zoom. On the software side of things, it’s Google that often sets the standard for computational photography.
So how does Apple respond? Based on the rumors we’ve heard about the camera arrays on the various iPhone 12 models, we’re unlikely to see advances like a dramatically improved telephoto lens. Apple’s software innovations have a way of sneaking up on us who knew about Smart HDR and Deep Fusion until Apple explained how those features make for better, more detailed photos? So we could be surprised by some similar innovation when Apple shows off its new phones in a month or so.
One possible new feature headed to the iPhone 12 Pro phones will be a LiDAR sensor similar to the one on the iPad Pro. This extra lens will be able to gauge distances more quickly and accurately than time-of-flight sensors, which should improve portrait shots taken by the iPhone 12 Pro. But a more compelling use would be with augmented reality and iPhone AR apps that could tap into the LiDAR sensor to more accurately measure the distance of real-world objects.
What Will The iPhone 2022 Be Called
- iPhone 14 mini
The iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max launched in 2019, followed by the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max in 2020 and the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max in 2021.
It’s therefore likely that the next iPhones will be called the iPhone 14 mini, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. That’s not a guarantee though, as Apple could opt for the iPhone 13s, or it could go for something completely different. We’d put our money on the iPhone 14 for now though.

iPhone 12 Review: Ios 15
As you’ll see in our iOS 15 review, Apple’s OS delivers some welcome improvements to your iPhone, many of which focus on shared experiences. FaceTime will let you listen to music or watch movies or TV shows with friends or family. And the Messages app delivers a new Shared with You section for photos, articles and more.
A new Focus feature in iOS 15 lets you filter notifications based on what youre doing. And notifications themselves have been refined, complete with a new summary view. Other iOS 15 highlights include a redesigned Safari and an enhanced Maps app with more detail and better road views.
Live Text bites is similar to Google Lens, as it recognizes text in real time via the camera when you want to look things up or get translations.
Stainless Steel Vs Aluminum
Im shocked to be writing this, but I actually prefer the look of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini over the iPhone 12 Pro.
The smartphone features the same flat-edged iPad Air/iPhone 4-inspired design as the iPhone 12 Pro, but its matte aluminum edges get far less greasy than the stainless steel border featured in its higher-end counterpart. This gives the device a cleaner look when it isnt inside a case and makes the smartphone feel better when youre holding it in your hand.
Like the iPhone 12 Pro, the iPhone 12/12 mini features a Ceramic Shield front that Apple claims is more durable than previous iPhones. Its impossible to verify this statement, but given how shockingly hardy the iPhone 11 was, I tend to believe Apple.
The smartphone itself is roughly 15 percent smaller than the iPhone 11, but it still features a 6.1-inch display thanks to its reduced bezels. This makes the device easier to hold in one hand than its predecessor. The 5.4-inch iPhone 12 mini feels ridiculously small, measuring in at even tinier than the iPhone SE . Though I found the smartphone too small for my taste, its great to see Apple offer a modern device with this display size. Theres definitely an untapped market out there for smaller smartphones like the iPhone 12 mini.
Each colour and the still-grease-resistant back glass with black being the only exception also match the iPhone 12s overall hue, giving it a uniform look.

iPhone 12 Display: Embracing 120hz
Apple may boast the fastest phones, thanks to its A13 Bionic chipset. But some Android phones have gotten in another area where Apple has stood still they feature displays with faster refresh rates.
All three Samsung Galaxy S20 models released earlier this year feature displays that refresh at 120Hz the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra does that spec one better by dynamically adjusting its refresh rate based on how you’re using the phone. And those aren’t the only Android devices with faster refreshing screens the Pixel 4 lineup boasts a 90Hz refresh rate while both the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro have faster refresh rates, too.
Meanwhile, Apple’s iPhones are stuck at 60Hz refresh rates, the standard for smartphones these days. That means while owners of other phones are enjoying more immersive experiences like smoother scrolling and better gameplay.
“High refresh rate displays are becoming a feature consumers look for at the high end of the market,” Greengart said. “Apple has plenty of experience with this. The iPad Pro has offered one for years.”
But will the iPhone 12? Of the new models coming out this fall, it would seem like the iPhone 12 Pro were the most likely to adopt 120Hz refresh rates, though more recent rumors have thrown cold water on that speculation. It seems like something Apple will need to add sooner rather than later or risk having the iPhone fall behind the competition, at least when it comes to displays.
What Is The iPhone Se 2020
It’s Apple’s attempt at providing an affordable iPhone option, with more cut-down specs than the other phones launched in 2020 but with a much lower price. Those specs include a 4.7-inch display, an Apple A13 processor and a single 12-megapixel rear camera. Storage starts at 64GB, it supports Qi wireless charging and there’s no 5G.
The iPhone SE 2020 is by far the cheapest iPhone you can buy directly from Apple.

Is iPhone 12 Coming Out When Can We Expect This
- Post author
We are all wondering Is iPhone 12 coming out?
After a lot of waiting, we now know Apple will be announcing the new iPhone. It is almost time for the launch of the 2020 iPhones. And, they are expected to be announced on October 13, 2020.
There are already dozens of rumors about the upcoming devices. We assume the 2020 iPhones will go by the name of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. Only if Apple follows the same naming scheme it used for the 2019 model lineup.
These phones promise to feature some of the biggest changes to the iPhone lineup in a long time.
iPhone 12 Review: Display
The iPhone 11s LCD display has unquestionably been the Achilles’ heel of Apples entry-level premium iPhones in recent years, but the iPhone 12 alleviates that. Its all thanks to a new 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display that matches what you get in the iPhone 12 Pro.
This panel packs a 2532×1170 resolution, making for a dramatic increase in the clarity of on-screen content compared to the iPhone 11s dated 1792×898 display. Its also HDR10 rated, allowing you to watch any videos recorded with the devices Dolby Vision-equipped rear camera the way they were intended to be seen.
Watching the trailer for the upcoming Monster Hunter film that really looks as though it never should have been made, I at least came away pleased by the fidelity of the scales, horns and teeth on a Black Diablos glinting in the desert sun. The black smoke from an explosion also contrasted heavily against the otherwise bright daylight scene in a way that wouldnt have looked nearly as alluring on the iPhone 11s LCD panel, with its inability to display true black.
The iPhone 12s screen still isnt perfect, and the reason why is clear to anyone who has used a recent Galaxy, Pixel or OnePlus phone for any length of time. Following months of rumors suggesting the opposite, Apple decided to forgo high refresh-rate displays on the entire iPhone 12 line, which have actually become quite common in the flagship smartphone space over the past year.

Apple iPhone 12 Review: Excellent In Almost Every Way
The iPhone 12 is still one of the best iPhones for most people
The iPhone 12 is the ideal iPhone for most people, thanks to class-leading screen quality, high-quality cameras and great future-proofing . But these features come at slightly high price compared to competitors.
Fantastic HDR screen & high-quality camera
Future-proofed with 5G and powerful innards
New design and build quality

If you wondering which Apple phone you should buy, then this iPhone 12 review is a good place to start.
Recently banished from the limelight by the iPhone 13, the iPhone 12 is still worth buying in 2021, even though it’s no longer the best iPhone for most people. Because it’s not the newest generation you’ll be able to buy it for cheaper than you could before.
Released back in 2020, the iPhone 12 series was made up of four devices with this one being the most popular. Why? Because its price tag won’t make your eyes water. It’s slightly cheaper than the other handsets but that doesn’t mean it skimps on screen size, it still has a 6.1inch display so you’ll get plenty to work with.
Compared to the iPhone 11, which came out in 2019 , there’s a solid range of improvements across the device: an OLED screen replaces the LCD, and brings a noticeably higher resolution at the same size the body is smaller and lighter the cameras have a number of tweaks and you’ve got an upgraded processor plus 5G wireless capability.

iPhone 12 Review: Price & Release Date
The iPhone 12 was released on October 23rd 2020, and its official price starts from £799/$799/AU$1,349. That includes 64GB of storage, which is fine. It’s a bit tight in a world where popular games can be 3GB easily, and when the device is your primary photo/video storage . The starts significantly cheaper than this, but comes with 128GB, as an example of where the competition is at.
You can step up to a model with 128GB, though, for a modest fee. For £849/$859/AU$1,429, you get the extra storage, which is what we’d suggest people do, particularly if you’re paying monthly, since you’d barely notice the difference, and you give yourself a good amount of extra space.
You can go bigger still, to a 256GB version. That’ll cost you £949/$949/AU$1,599. Anything bigger than that and you’re officially a ‘pro’ by Apple’s standards meaning you’ll need to buy the iPhone 12 Pro.
The price for this iPhone has risen when compared to the launch of the equivalent iPhone 11, as we’ve mentioned. That launched at £729/$699/AU$1,199, and actually represented a price drop from the iPhone XR that it, in turn, replaced.
I can’t say I’m a fan of seeing the price swing the other way here, and that’s been a major factor between this getting full marks and the score it has the complex relationship between the improvements and value will be a key part of my verdict at the end.

iPhone 1: Release Date
Apple is yet to breathe a word about the iPhone 14 let alone its release date. But since Apple typically unveils new iPhones at the same time each year, it’s highly likely we’ll see the iPhone 14 arrive in September 2022.
The iPhone 13 broke cover on 14th September 2021, the second Tuesday in the month. Apple seems to favour the first or second Tuesday of September, which suggests the iPhone 14 could debut on either Tuesday 6th or Tuesday 13th September 2022.
Apple’s events are usually held the company’s Apple Park headquarters in California, so they tend to start at 10am Pacific Time, which is 6pm GMT / 4am AEST.
Apple’s first event of 2022 is expected to go ahead in March but don’t expect a preview of the iPhone 14. Instead, tech fans could be treated to the long-awaited Apple AirPods Pro 2 and new iPad Air.
