iPhone 14 Price: Will Apple Lower The Cost In 2022
There’s no word either way on iPhone 14 pricing, but Apple didn’t make any big price changes between 2020’s iPhone 12 and 2021’s iPhone 13, so the existing price structure is at least a good place to start our speculation. However, Kuo predicts the high-end 6.7-inch phone will launch at a record-low price, under $900. Compared to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which ranges from $1,099 all the way up to a staggering $1,599, that’s quite a steal.

Camera Rumors: What Apple Might Improve For The iPhone 14
Two of the big rumors we’ve heard about the iPhone 14’s camera setup are actually more about the phone’s design: first, that the chunky camera bump could disappear and second, that a hole-punch front camera could replace the dreaded notch.
Kuo shared insights about the iPhone 14’s potential camera upgrades in an investors note reported on by 9to5Mac just after the iPhone 13 launch. In the note, Kuo predicts a hole-punch front camera, making the iPhone 14 notchless, as well as a 48-megapixel wide rear camera for the Pro and Pro Max models, up from 12 megapixels on previous iPhones.
Kuo’s speculation aligns with a recent research note from Haitong International Securities, reported on by MacRumors. In the note, analyst Jeff Pu hypothesizes the two Pro models will be equipped with a triple lens rear camera system with a 48-megapixel wide lens, and 12-megapixel ultrawide and telephoto lenses. Pu adds the Pro versions of the iPhone 14 could sport 8GB of RAM, as well. In comparison, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max have 6GB.
iPhone 13 camera upgrades include a new Cinematic mode, ProRes video and some improvements in zoom capabilities. We had previously reported on rumors that the entire lineup would feature lidar, the iPhone 12 Pro’s standout depth-sensing feature, but lidar ended up making an appearance only on the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max after all. It’s possible Apple might expand the feature to its full lineup in 2022 instead, but we haven’t heard anything yet.

Apple Special Event Dates
Apple Special Events are held every year to announce new products and accessories. These dates are important to know because you’ll be able to see just what the new iPhone model will have. Although not everyone is invited to these events, since they’re usually for media only, they are always streamed live, so you can tune in from the comfort of your own home.

iDropNewshas an even more accurate prediction. They heard Apple has something planned internally for Week 37. That means mid-September. September 13, to be more specific. Thats because Apple normally holds events on Tuesdays.
Well likely find out for sure about the iPhone 14 release date later this summer. Apple starts recording its event broadcasts in mid-August, assuming itll be an online show.

In the US it’s stayed flat, while Brits have enjoyed small discounts on some models.

iPhone 14 Pro Screen Will Have A Hole
On the Pro model iPhones, the notorious notch will be replaced by an oval-shaped Face ID cutout and a hole-punch camera, according to MacRumors. Together, the two elements will take up about the same space as the notch, but they’ll be surrounded by live pixels and will thus be less of a visual interruption in the face of the phone.
Journalist Max Weinbach tweeted another render of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. There are also several stories going around about supposed detailed schematics and reduced front bezels, but the “information” comes from random Twitter and Weibo users, which I honestly have zero trust in.
iPhone 14 News And Rumours Leaked Features And Specs
We won’t find out exactly what the iPhone 14 will look like until much closer to launch.
And even then, we could still be a little in the dark some iPhone news is always a surprise on the night.
But we’re already hearing trickles of information about the mystery mobile.
Apple is said to be finally removing the “notch” at the top of the iPhone offering a full-screen front for the first time.
It’s part of a rumoured makeover of the iPhone that will make it look drastically different from 2021’s model.
The design reportedly includes a pill-shaped hole on the front of the device for a selfie camera.
Widely respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF Securities has suggested that we’ll see a no-notch iPhone 14.
And long-time Apple leaker and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman has said the same.
Ming-chi Kuo has also said that the high-end iPhones in the 2022 range will use a 48-megapixel sensor for the main camera.
According to Mac Rumours, Kuo thinks this will allow impressive 8K video capture.
The analyst also thinks the notch on the front screen of iPhones will get smaller and by 2023 it may have disappeared.
The selfie camera, necessary for Face ID, may be hidden under the screen.
Another of Kuo’s theories is that screen size options of the iPhone lineup will decrease by 2022.
We might not see an iPhone Mini offering as we have done in previous years.
It’s thought the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes are here to stay for the foreseeable future.

The Death Of The Lightning Port
The idea that Apple will ditch the Lightning port on the iPhone and feature no ports at all has been rumored since before the iPhone 12 was launched. In this concept, rather than rely on cables for charging, all power would be delivered wirelessly. This would instantly render many accessories and power banks redundant, but Apple has never been shy about making unpopular decisions in the past. That could yet become a reality, but not in the near future.
In the meantime, a more likely option is that Apple will ditch Lightning and replace it with USB-C, as its already done on most of its iPads. The EU has been on the warpath for a while about proprietary charging standards, and a draft law forcibly standardising smartphone ports was rumored in August 2021. This came a step closer in September 2021, when the EU Commission presented a bill to unify charging cables. This could legally oblige Apple to produce a USB-C iPhone for sale in Europeor to base all its new iPhones on USB-C so as to avoid the production inefficiency of making more than one design.
Sure enough, Ming-Chi Kuo has now gone on record with a prediction that Apple will indeed switch from Lightning to USB-C on its iPhone, although this wont happen until 2023. That means the iPhone 14 will have an iPhone port, but it will be the last iPhone to do so.

Email And Text Messages
The iPhone also features an email program that supports HTML email, which enables the user to embed photos in an email message. PDF, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint attachments to mail messages can be viewed on the phone.Yahoo! offers a free push-email service for the iPhone. IMAP and POP3 mail standards are also supported, including Microsoft Exchange and Kerio Connect.
In the first versions of the iPhone firmware, this was accomplished by opening up IMAP on the Exchange server. Apple has also licensed Microsoft ActiveSync and supports the platform with the release of iPhone 2.0 firmware. Text messages are presented chronologically in a mailbox format similar to Mail, which places all text from recipients together with replies. Text messages are displayed in speech bubbles under each recipient’s name. The iPhone has built-in support for email message forwarding, drafts, and direct internal camera-to-email picture sending. Support for multi-recipient SMS was added in the 1.1.3 software update. Support for MMS was added in the 3.0 update, but not for the original first generation iPhone and not in the U.S. until September 25, 2009.

September : Apple iPhone 14 Leaks Before iPhone 13 Even Gets Announced
Jon Prosser of FrontPageTech presented a video with some renders of what is claimed to be the iPhone 14 Pro in association with Renders by Ian. The images show a flat-edge design similar to what the iPhone 13 models offer, but with circular volume buttons.
There are three camera lenses on the rear – like the current Pro models – though the renders show the lenses almost flat to the surface and without the square camera housing surrounding them. Prosser says the device will be titanium and the renders also show a punch hole front camera.
