iPhone 13 Pro: September 24 2021
The iPhone 13 Pro features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion, but its big draw is the inclusion of a Telephoto camera, in addition to the Wide and Ultra Wide cameras that come with the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini. It comes with a LiDAR scanner for Night Mode photography and offers a 1 TB model for more storage than any iPhone has ever offered before. It needs it, considering all the new camera features make for pretty bulky file sizes. It is also powered by the A15 chip and comes in silver, graphite, gold, and sierra blue.
True Depth Camera System
The True Depth camera system was redesigned so that it fits in a space that is 20% smaller. Ever since the iPhone X, users have asked for a smaller notch or its removal. Some Apple competitors adopted the notch design, then quickly jumped to hole-punch displays.
The Face ID system is unchanged from previous generations. It consists of six different sensors used to scan a user’s face for biometric security. It includes the infrared camera, flood illuminator, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, dot projector, and selfie camera.
The selfie camera also remains unchanged from the iPhone 12 models, though the A15 Bionic has an improved image signal processor, which will produce better images from the same camera. The iPhone 13 selfie camera is also capable of Cinematic Mode video and Photographic Styles for photos.
Wifi Bluetooth And U1 Chip
The iPhone 12 models include the same Apple-designed U1 chip that was first introduced in the iPhone 11 lineup. The U1 chip enables Ultra Wideband technology for improved spatial awareness, allowing the iPhone 12 models to precisely locate other U1-equipped Apple devices.
Apple has likened Ultra Wideband to “GPS at the scale of the living room,” because the technology is designed for improved indoor positioning and location tracking.
The U1 chip allows the iPhone 12 and 12 mini to precisely locate nearby AirTags. It’s also used for directional AirDrop and interaction with the HomePod mini, which also has a U1 chip.
As for Bluetooth and WiFi, the iPhone 12 models support Bluetooth 5.0 and WiFi 6, the newest and fastest WiFi protocol.

iPhone 12 Mini: November 13 2020
The iPhone 12 mini is a surprisingly small but still very powerful addition to the iPhone family. This thin and incredibly light smartphone measures in at just 5.4 inches and includes the new, powerful A14 Bionic chip for a considerable boost in performance over previous models. It also features Apple’s latest Super Retina XDR OLED display and a host of camera upgrades, but still comes with a dual-lens arrangement. The only notable differences between the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 are that the mini is smaller and has an estimated battery life that’s 2 hours shorter than that of the larger iPhone 12.
Best iPhone Overall For Less
The $700iPhone 12 has a superb balance of performance, features, and design for the price, and it’s the model most people should go for if $800 is a stretch too far.

The iPhone 12 is the best iPhone for most people with its $799 price tag. It poses the best value in relation to specs, features, and design compared to the Pro models.
Running on Apple’s A14 Bionic chip, the iPhone 12 still has the hardware most people need for daily and extended usage for less than the iPhone 13.
The iPhone 12 has many features in common with the iPhone 13, including a dual-camera system with an ultrawide lens, MagSafe, 5G, and IP68 water resistance.
There are few compromises by going with the iPhone 12 over the iPhone 13. You don’t get the iPhone 13’s newer A15 Bionic processor, or Apple’s new cameras with bigger sensors. Apart from that, you’re not missing out on much else.

Design Rumors: iPhone 14 Might Be Notchless At Last
YouTuber and iPhone leaker Jon Prosser made waves the week before the iPhone 13 announcement by releasing renders he commissioned of the iPhone 14 Pro Max based on “real images and schematics” leaked to him from purported sources at Apple.

Prosser’s renders corroborate a number of previously reported rumors, including the notchless display and hole-punch camera previously reported by Kuo, and the iPhone 14 Pro’s titanium alloy chassis, which was first referenced in a July report from JPMorgan Chase. We’d been expecting to see the iPhone 13 go notchless, but instead we got a slimmed-down, but still very notchy, notch. Apple introduced the world to the notched display in 2017 with the release of the iPhone X, and as rivals solved the selfie conundrum with hole-punch and under-display cameras, Apple still hasn’t, er, taken it down a notch.
But Prosser’s renders seem to corroborate these earlier reports that Apple would finally excise the iPhone’s notch in 2022. And Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman also hinted at its removal in a September edition of his Power On newsletter, wherein he predicted a “complete redesign” for the iPhone 14. Those who’ve been crossing their fingers for a notchless iPhone since the iPhone 12 and had their hopes dashed once again by the iPhone 13 can now look forward to a potential realization of their all-screen dreams in 2022’s iPhone 14.

iPhone 11 Pro And 11 Pro Max
The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max succeed last year’s iPhone XS and XS Max, and start at $999. The new phones come in four colors, including a new one , feature a wholly new three-camera system, and a variety of under-the-hood technology upgrades. The screen is either a 5.8-in. or 6.5-in. Super Retina XDR display, storage comes in 64GB, 128GB or 256GB options and the phone uses Apple’s new A13 “Bionic” processor. The camera system features a new ultra-wide camera that captures more than four times the scenery and 4K video at up to 60 frames per second. It also features audio zoom, so if you zoom in on video, the audio does too. The front-facing camera is now a 12-megapixel model that allows for slow-motion selfies, which Apple dubbed “slofies.” The camera system now offers a new “night mode” for better images in low-light conditions. According to Apple, the A13 bionic chip and the third-generation Neural Engine run more efficiently, allowing for up to four or five hours of additional use compared to the last year’s models. Pre-orders begin Sept. 13, with the phones available in stores on Sept. 20.
iPhone 11 Pro: September 20 2019
For Apple customers looking for a smaller phone with a top-of-the-line display, the iPhone 11 Pro was perfect. The 5.8-inch Super Retina XDR display was Apple’s most crisp and clear to date. This phone featured not two, but three, 12 MP HDR camera lenses, offering wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses. The color options were more muted than the iPhone 11, but there was always the option to add a flashy case!

With the iPhone 12 Pro, you’re getting everything from the standard iPhone 12, including the A14 Bionic chip, a Super Retina XDR OLED display, ceramic shield screen glass, 5G support, wireless charging and MagSafe support, a metal frame, and IP68 water resistance.
The iPhone 12 Pro also comes with a triple camera system that includes the standard lens, ultrawide lens, and exclusive to the Pro models, a telephoto lens that goes up to 4x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. Extra camera features also include LiDAR for better portrait mode photos, even in the dark, as well as Apple’s RAW photo file format.
The Return Of Touch Id
One way for Apple to make it easier to remove the notch would be to reinstate Touch ID on the next iPhone. This can be done in one of two ways, both of which have been heavily rumoured for some time now.
The first is to introduce an under-display fingerprint sensor for Touch ID, as suggested by Ming-Chi Kuo to MacRumors, while the other is for Apple to use the same Touch ID sensor in the power button that it currently deploys in the iPad Air and new iPad mini .
But is Apple prepared to countenance such an obvious backwards step? Touch ID was dropped from the flagship iPhones as long ago as 2017, with its ongoing confinement to more budget-focused models an implicit assertion that face recognition is better than fingerprint.
Our suspicion is that Apple will only restore Touch ID to its top-tier phones when it’s able to offer it alongside Face ID – and that doesn’t help whatsoever with the removal of the notch.

Level Up With This Pick
The iPhone 13 is the best iPhone for most people. This year, Apple brought in a few features from the Pro models, such as sensor-shift stabilization on the main camera to correct for your shaky hands, and 128 gigabytes of base storage instead of the paltry 64 it offered before. The 6.1-inch OLED screen is also just the right size. One of the best new additions is Cinematic mode, which merges Portrait mode with video and adds a blur effect around your subject. It can be a little finicky, though. Overall, the cameras have improved. The wide and ultrawide can take in more light, producing sharper and brighter nighttime shots.
Battery life is better, easily lasting a full day and then some with heavy usage, and the A15 Bionic chip powering it is no slouch. On the minus side, the colors are a bit lackluster. But it’s IP68 water-resistant, has 5G, and maintains the MagSafe accessory system from its predecessor.
Note: There’sno charging adapterincluded with any of the iPhone 13 models, just a USB-C to Lightning cable. You might need tobuy an adapterif you don’t have a USB-C one lying around.
iPhone 6 & 6 Plus: September 19 2014
Apple tends to make larger leaps between the original model and the S edition than it does from the S edition to a new model. The iPhone 6’s internal specs were very similar to those of the iPhone 5s. The biggest difference was having a significantly larger screen and offering an even larger size called 6 Plus. The Retina display became HD, and the option to get an iPhone with 128 GB of storage became available. But the amount of memory was the same, and the camera didn’t see a megapixel upgrade. But it didn’t matterApple sold 10 million units in the first week.

iPhone 13 Vs iPhone 1: Price And Availability
There’s one thing that hasn’t changed with the iPhone 13’s arrival the starting price for Apple’s phones. The iPhone 13 models cost the same as their iPhone 12 counterparts did when they arrived in 2020: $699 for the iPhone 13 mini, $799 for the iPhone 13, $999 for the iPhone 13 Pro and $1,099 for the iPhone 13 Pro Max
In the case of the iPhone 13 and 13 mini, you’re getting more storage for your buck than you did with the comparable iPhone 12 versions. Those two iPhone 13 models now start with 128GB of storage instead of the 64GB the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini offered. On the other end of the spectrum, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have new 1TB options.
As noted, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini remain part of Apple’s iPhone lineup, at reduced prices. The iPhone 12 costs the same $699 that Apple charges for the iPhone 13 mini, while the iPhone 12 mini drops to $599.

Apple’s new iPhone 13 line debuted Tuesday at Apple’s September event, showing a tweaked design with a variety of new features for those upgrading from earlier iPhone models. The lineup consists of four new phones: the iPhone 13, the 13 Mini, the 13 Pro and the 13 Pro Max. The new phones will run iOS 15, come with a larger battery, more storage, a new A15 Bionic processor, a smaller notch and an abundance of new camera features. The base model of the iPhone 13 and 13 Mini are available in five colors: pink, blue, midnight , starlight and Product Red.
